Camping Playa La Arena

The location is good; the beach is reachable via a staircase. There is a small Mercado that is fairly well stocked. The sanitary facilities are very clean. However, there is a lack of toilet paper, soap for handwashing, and a hand dryer, etc. One wonders nowadays whether it's really necessary to walk around the campsite with a roll of toilet paper in hand. The pitches are very cramped and mostly occupied by permanent campers, who not only stand closely together, but in most cases also obstruct the view of the sea. There is no disposal point for the chemical toilet and gray water; similarly, there is no waste separation (at least it is not evident what goes into which bin).

This very well-kept, small campsite is connected to a small hotel and is located about 15m - 20m above the fine sandy beach on two levels. The site offers generous plots, modern and mostly as-good-as-new accommodations for camping enthusiasts. The plots consist of grassy areas and are mostly even or have a slight slope towards the outer zone facing the Atlantic (offering a fantastic view of the bay). The sanitary facilities are very well maintained and there is a separate laundry room with two coin-operated washing machines (5€) and dryers (3€) each. In the hotel, there is a small supermarket where you can buy bread in the morning.
