ACSI discount in the off-peak and after-season. Well... we didn't stay here long because we found it terrible. It's like a refugee camp. Very massive with 500 spots (under iron structures covered with cloths). Everything is crammed together in a row with campers in front, behind, to the left, and to the right. You have no view. You can't even see the sky. For us, this has nothing to do with camping. We prefer small, quiet, playful, and rustic places. Everything is well organized by the excellent staff. The restaurant was closed. There is no shop and no sandwich service. The pool is nice but unfortunately, the water was lukewarm. There is only Wi-Fi on the restaurant terrace and at the pool. There's a large room (library) with shelves full of books in all common languages. The sanitary facilities are fine and the beach is nice. Bolnuevo is a soulless village.

The site is very clean with good sanitary facilities. Unfortunately, the shop is still closed despite being fully booked in April, so baguettes etc. are only available from 08:30 at the Plus supermarket about 200 meters away. Restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Wi-Fi is paid and poor, not suitable for streaming. Pool and pool bar available. Most sites in the first rows by the beach are occupied by Spanish permanent campers. Generally, the plots are quite small and everything is very, very tight, even when entering the site. Many low trees restrict the space, and there are issues in the curves. In the summer, the plots are covered with sun protection mats, which causes problems with satellite reception. Dog beach is about 350 meters from the beach entrance. Personally, I find it too cramped there.

The rating of Pobuhu is 100% accurate. Oh, it could be so beautiful: a gorgeous beach, right next to a large campsite, sunshine, and all of this in Spain south of Cartagena - doesn’t that sound like a perfect vacation? Unfortunately, paradise has serious flaws: The campsite, with more than 500 pitches, is home to almost as many dogs. The Playa de Mazzaron campsite in Bolnuevo advertises itself as being dog-friendly and moreover does not charge fees for accompanying dogs. Nothing against dogs, but Fiffi and Hasso pee and poop everywhere. There’s no spot on the site that wouldn’t be misused as a dog toilet. And it’s even worse on the beach: Dog owners do not go to the designated dog beach 300 meters to the left of the campsite, but instead walk with Mimi and Ajax all along the beach. Of course, Ajax has to relieve himself, so he poops on the beach. If everything goes well, the owner picks up the poop in a bag. But all too often, the dog poop is just left behind. Let someone else deal with it... Right at the exit to the beach, the sand is dark from morning until evening. Dog pee everywhere. Thank goodness there were no children or only a few children on the site. Once, my husband urged a woman with two large dogs to pick up the fresh “eggs” right at the sandy beach. Then a war broke out: We were typical German racists, screamed the woman. Dog poop is something natural. But we, with our plastic spoons, are the real polluters! She left the poop behind. We didn’t go to that beach anymore. No desire for dog poop on the towel, on shoes, or feet. We strongly advise especially families with children against this campsite and beach!!!!! The site, without the many inconsiderate dog owners, would deserve at least 4 stars. With the many inconsiderate dog owners, it’s 1 star.

Dogs are allowed on the campsite. No fees need to be paid for dogs, but the operator requires adherence to the campsite rules. However, contrary to the rules, dog owners let their dogs run freely on their own plots, on others' plots, and on the paths, allowing them to relieve themselves on the pathways and the plots of holidaymakers. Garbage containers, wall corners, the gate to the beach, etc. are the most disgusting toilets for dogs. Dog owners do not even think about adapting their dogs to camping life. Holidaymakers who want to relax and regenerate for work life are disturbed by the constant barking; one starts barking, and everyone joins in. The gate to the beach is kept straight up by the daily "deposits" of the dogs. In summer, families with small children are present there. Dog owners do not consider this at all; only about 200m away is the designated dog beach. Why would one go there when no one cares about enforcing the rules? Seating on the promenade at the beach is entirely covered in urine, thus not inviting to sit. The leash requirement means many use a 10m leash, which makes no difference from letting the dog run free. Just the signage at the campsite and the beach leads to no behavioral change among the ignorant dog owners. During a longer stay, this is very disturbing and greatly reduces the value of relaxation, thus a significantly reduced rating. Only very, very few dog owners see their responsibility and behave accordingly. Otherwise, there is nothing to criticize about the campsite; reception is friendly and helpful, washrooms are top quality, plots are gravelled and even. The location at the beach is very beautiful. It would be desirable if the campsite operator would also consider the interests of non-dog owners and not let things run as they currently do.

The campsite is recommended. It is located directly on the beach, which is very beautiful. The sanitary facilities are always clean. The pitches are large and shady, but they are relatively close together. The sites are covered with tarpaulins and are therefore shady. A pool is also available. Overall, the site is recommended for a stopover in Mazarrón.

Directly on the beach and very clean toilets. Place is accessible by foot. However, all spots are gravelled and under mats. One spot next to another. Square, practical, good. You have to like it; it wasn't for us. Given the number of retirees, it's perfect for wintering.

The deep blue water and golden yellow beach are right on the doorstep of Playa de Mazarrón. This very family-friendly holiday destination is located on Spain's Mediterranean coast around 40 km west of the city of Cartagena and boasts a large swimming area and shady pitches.
The 7.5-hectare camping site boasts a wide range of amenities and has attractive greenery as well as numerous well-paved areas. Almost 460 parcelled-out pitches are spread across the holiday home, which is open all year round. The smallest pitches measure 60 square metres and some are equipped with an electricity connection. The 70 and 80 square metre pitches all have an electricity and water connection. Holidaymakers can easily stay in touch with those at home thanks to Wi-Fi, while camping guests can refresh themselves with a dip in the Mediterranean and a swim in the pool. There is a shallow paddling pool for children next to the main pool. There is also a playground in the shade of the coniferous and deciduous trees especially for young holidaymakers. There is also a varied entertainment programme on site for a wide range of age groups, including sporting, creative and playful activities. If you want to recharge your batteries after aqua aerobics or a football match, you can make yourself comfortable in the on-site restaurant or order a snack and a refreshing drink at the bar. Holidaymakers can find everything they need for self-catering in the local supermarket. Further shopping facilities can also be found in the surrounding area.
