Camping-Playa Aguadulce

At first glance, the campsite seems a bit unattractive and overrun by permanent campers. However, for us, this was exactly the lucky find, as in October there were hardly any people here. The site is quiet, and the sanitary facilities are old but clean and, above all, sufficiently numerous. There is also a disabled-accessible bathroom and a baby bath with a tub. The staff at the reception were reasonably friendly, but the rest of the employees were very friendly. Here, people greet each other with a friendly "Hola". The beach is quickly reachable on foot, taking less than 5 minutes; it is located directly behind the campsite and offers a sandy beach and the sea as far as the eye can see. What we particularly enjoyed was the sound of the sea. It could always be heard, and even in bed, we could fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the waves. What more could you want... On the other hand, the options for mobility are not so good (at least in the off-season). You can bike quite well, e.g., to the supermarket, along the beachfront promenade of Costa Ballena, or to Rota, although you should have the routes explained to you at the reception or by other campers - and listen carefully; otherwise, you'll take unnecessarily longer routes. From Rota, there is a ferry to Cadiz, which is said to be very nice. Unfortunately, our trip did not take place due to too much wind; but as a substitute, a bus runs instead. At the supermarket on the site, which was still open in October, there was a bit of everything, and if you didn't want to go to Mercadona, it was quickly reachable. In the morning, you could buy baguettes there or at the restaurant. We did not eat in the restaurant. The children's playground is nothing special, but it was sufficient for us. There is also a football field and a boules court. We had a lovely holiday here and would definitely come back. We also met many people who, like us, originally wanted to stay only 2 nights but ended up enjoying it so much that they extended their stay. We ultimately stayed here for 12 nights and would have stayed even longer. The **** arise mainly because we felt comfortable, it was clean, and the sea was not only close enough to hear.
