We spontaneously booked 4 days in the last week of the Easter holidays. What can I say, we were super thrilled. The place has a dreamlike location right by a stream and is also traversed by it. The pitches are nicely laid out and divided into different sizes and areas, so there’s something for every caravan or tent. We always found the sanitary facilities to be very clean. A great community among the campers. Everyone was friendly and considerate. At the reception, you can get everything you need for camping. The pizzas offered in the evening are also recommended. For our children, the campsite and the surrounding area were one big adventure playground. The owners of the site were super nice and always up for a friendly chat. We will come back in the summer and are already looking forward to seeing you again.

The campsite is really nice, and so are the owners. It is located quite in nature, pure relaxation and freedom. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, and a renovation would be great. We would love to come back next year.

A quiet feel-good place. Very nice new owner who keeps everything in good order and lovingly takes care of all guests. Nice little bistro also with breakfast options and delicious pizza in the evening. Sanitary facilities are always clean and well-maintained. Dogs are warmly welcome. We will come again.

More nature is not possible. Directly at the stream parking space. Simple shower and sanitary facilities - always clean and well maintained. Nice new campsite operator. Ideal starting point for a visit to Monschau. Reachable on foot in 20 minutes. Also great cycling tours on the Rur cycle path or Venn cycle path. We will come back.

This is a beautiful place, in the middle of nature, surrounded by forest and a stream flowing directly along the site, not far from the site are the most beautiful hiking trails good for replenishing oxygen and letting your soul dangle. It is simply a beautiful naturally preserved landscape. We were there in the year 2017, 2018, and 2019 again.

More info about Camping Perlenau
Located in the heart of the Eifel National Park, Camping Perlenau is particularly popular with active holidaymakers who come here for hiking and cycling excursions. For families, the campsite offers a huge natural playground with forests and streams where children of all ages can experience safe adventures.
Forest camping directly on the Eifelsteig trail
If you are looking for peace and quiet or want to spend your holiday in harmony with nature, you will feel completely at home at Camping Perlenau, which is surrounded by wooded slopes. The family-friendly holiday village covers an area of around 1.6 hectares in the middle of a dense pine forest, where children can roam around on their own and organise treasure hunts. The Perlbach stream flowing through the campsite promises exciting water games for the little ones and additional cooling for young and old. Along the banks of the stream there are 56 pitches, some of which are separated by hedges, with meadow grounds. There are also additional unparcelled parking spaces for caravans in the separate motorhome area and on the natural tent meadow, where fire bowls are available for crackling campfires. Travellers have access to electricity and fresh water in all areas. Some pitches are also equipped with waste water connections. The toilet block in the centre of the campsite is heated and has both individual wash cubicles and family bathrooms. Parents will find great family activities around Camping Perlenau, such as a ride on the railbike in Belgium, just 5 km away, or a visit to the nearby Hellenthal game reserve. For hiking enthusiasts, the highlight of the region is the scenically varied Eifelsteig long-distance hiking trail, which consists of a total of 15 daily stages. An idyllic forest walk starts behind the Zeltwiese and leads to the medieval town of Monschau.
