Campingpark Oberammergau

The location close to the center of Oberammergau is very good as it is reachable on foot. The site is divided into normal camping spots and motorhome pitches. For 21 euros, we had a pitch for one night for 2 people, without electricity, toilet, and sanitary facilities, which is rather on the high end in comparison. There are also pitches for liners over 9 m available. The pitches are gravelled. Four and disposal are included in the price. Electricity must be obtained via a coin machine if required. For us, it's an average transit site.

All facilities are very clean and the staff is friendly. However, I am surprised by the pricing... Parking fee (as if one would only park their RV without any people), plus 2 people, followed by a garbage fee per person and separate electricity at 95 cents/kWh. Even for the electricity connection, a one-time fee of 1.90 € must be paid. Water intake is also not included, 50 cents for 50 liters. Of course, there is also the resort fee.

Booking and arrival very friendly. Lots of information about public transport. Stop right in front of the door. Parking spaces flat and large. Very tasty rolls. Sanitary facilities clean and spacious. Great view as well. Just 10 minutes to the village.

Overall, a nice and recommendable campsite. You can spend a lovely vacation here. Hiking, cycling, and much more. The entire site is clean and well-maintained. The sanitary facilities are TIP TOP. Very friendly, helpful, and warm staff. We felt very much at home here for 10 days and would be very happy to return.

I had reserved a seat for a visit to the festival. At least 3 days were required. I was told that there was still 1 seat available. I then had to cancel the trip due to Corona, and the 100 Euro deposit was withheld despite the illness. A later arrival was not possible for us. The seat could certainly have been rented out, as the cancellation was made in time.
