Great campsite for city tour

Good location to explore Paris. In about 1 hour, you can reach the city directly by public transport. Bus stop right in front of the campsite. The pitch was very good. Sanitary facilities left much to be desired. They were a bit dated and not very clean. In the morning, delicious fresh baguette and croissants. Small well-stocked supermarket, but a few fresh items like fruit and vegetables were missing.

Wonderful for a short visit

We were here for just one night and it worked wonderfully. The pitch was small but fine. Of course, it costs money, but we are in Paris after all. We already had toilet seats, also toilet paper. We found it remarkable that there was no sink in the toilet area. In the showers, there are sinks, but you search in vain for soap. It's a bit disgusting to think that hardly anyone washes their hands. Since you are in Paris, there are of course streets, but it wasn't that bad. We as city kids were able to ignore that well. Our neighbors were also pleasant. For a week of vacation, we are now also looking for a nicer place, but for a short stay, the place is wonderful. The staff is very nice.

Somewhat Affordable Visit to Paris

Pleasant6

March 2023

It is considerably cheaper to live here with a family of five instead of right in Paris, at least for our travel time we only found offers that were several times more expensive. The mobile home was worn down but okay. Driving in Paris is no fun, so it's better to buy tickets like the Paris Visite, which are also partially available at the reception. With that, you can take the bus directly from the campsite to the train station, and from there continue by train until you reach Zone 2, then depending on your mood continue with the metro or bus. The trip from the campsite to the Eiffel Tower takes about an hour. The restaurant and supermarket on site are really only for emergencies; it's better to drive to the supermarket in the town if you need something. The sanitary facilities are okay, but there are no toilet seats for those expecting them. What irritated me was the deposit I had to put down. Regardless of whether you pay in cash or by card, you only get it refunded 2-3 weeks later. At night, it can sometimes be a bit noisy, the traffic, residents arriving with loud music at 5 in the morning, etc. I would come back because of the price-performance ratio.

The only good thing is the proximity to Paris. Many tradespeople stay there overnight, probably also night shift workers since cars and delivery vans rushed by until early in the morning. There was no talk of peace at night. Celebration continued into the morning, apparently marking the end of shifts. The mobile home we had was clean, but very worn. But the supermarket is the best, expensive and lacking selection. We won't be returning here.

Price-performance ratio is not right

Service acceptable, advantage: reception is open 24 hours Access with an 8m length caravan is difficult due to road conditions, but possible Location is great Sanitary facilities acceptable Price: expensive; 4€ electricity/day, 3.20€ water/day, well! The pricing policy for tandem caravans annoyed us: a surcharge of 30€/day is charged - the same pitch, no added value for it, rip-off! Overall, we will look for another option in the future or avoid Paris with our tandem caravan - it’s just too expensive, reaching Ibis price category!
