A quiet, small, and pleasant place near Grasse and 15 km from the beautiful beach of Cannes. Everyone knows each other; I left my valuables in the tent, as it would have been immediately noticed if a stranger sneaked onto the site. More suitable for the older generation, but that’s exactly what I liked, even though I (a biker, 45 years old) was one of the younger ones. I really enjoyed not having any children’s screams or the like. In the evenings, it cools down a lot due to the river, and the air becomes humid and cool. Starting from 10 PM in late June, I recommend wearing a sweater and socks if you want to sit outside. I was the only one still sitting outside in front of my tent at 11 PM. The super friendly couple who run the site are very nice and always ask in the evening who would like baguettes or croissants the next morning. What I didn’t like so much was that there’s no small shop on the site (but it wouldn’t be worth it given the size of the place). The nearest large Super U is about 5 km away, so it’s no problem. A small bar is open until 8 PM; however, I found €4.50 for a 0.5L can of beer outrageous!! Especially when you, as a biker without a fridge, depend on a bar or restaurant with cold drinks at the campsite! Furthermore, I was bothered that the sanitary facilities and toilets are not gender-separated. So, men and women wash their hands at the same sinks in the morning, and women walk by when you're at the urinal... also, there’s no toilet paper, and there are no toilet seats. A small downside is that you can ONLY pay your bill in cash at the end of your stay. No cards are accepted. The pool is nice and small, cozy and comfortable. Without annoying giant slides or other loud events? However, I think children’s noise wouldn't be popular there among the predominantly French, Dutch, and older German guests. I truly enjoyed my 10 days.
