Camping Pappasole

We originally wanted to spend only 1-2 nights here, but then extended to 6 nights because we liked it here so much. In the low season there is extremely little going on, making it super nice and relaxing. In high season, it will surely be different and wouldn’t be to our liking. All amenities such as restaurant, shop, mini golf, etc. are fully usable and not restricted due to low season. The sanitary facilities are all super new and clean! For our dog, the four fenced-in lawns with water hoses were great, and at the beach, he could also easily enter the water - there was very little going on here too.

I don't know where the good reviews are coming from. We had a so-called deluxe spot with a private bathroom, this private bathroom defied all description, run down, I estimate it's about 40 years old corresponding to Italian standards! If the good reviews come from a supermarket with a pool, where swim caps are still mandatory, then goodnight! Also, regarding the pitches, if you like to camp alone, surrounded by numerous uninhabited permanent pitches, then this is the place for you. The car cannot be parked at the pitch but must be parked 200 meters away!

Very well-maintained facility with a pool, shops, bistro, and restaurant. Sanitary facilities were consistently clean. The staff was very helpful and nice. We had nothing to complain about.

Super place, everyone is very friendly and helpful. Very well maintained, sufficient washing machines and dryers, clean sanitary facilities, great sports offerings, super shop with camping supplies, wonderful beach, also great is a free drinking water station, nice restaurant. We will definitely come back!!!

Beautiful pitch with its own sanitary facilities and outdoor kitchen, bistro and restaurant very good, the supermarket is well stocked. At the beach, the beds are reserved with the pitch number! We will definitely come back!!!!

The campsite, like many others in the world, is located near a fast road and a railway line. Those who cannot stand the noise from cars and trains should vacation in a hotel. I think this campsite is exceptionally beautiful and offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy a relaxing and restful holiday. There is a wonderfully beautiful swimming pool with a whirlpool, a beautifully landscaped mini-golf course, tennis courts, several basketball and volleyball courts, and artificial turf sports fields. Two great restaurants and a bar, the sea is not far away and can be reached in 5-10 minutes on foot over a footbridge. The sanitation facilities are clean and cleaned around the clock. By bike, it takes 30 minutes to get to Follonica (beach promenades), very beautiful and typically Italian. Simply class! 😎

Beautifully laid out site in the pine forest with shade and (depending on the pitch) its own bathroom and kitchen at the site. With us, there are almost only Italians, including many long-term campers. Therefore, it is not the quietest place (there is constantly a typical busy hustle and bustle 😉). Overall, however, the site is very well maintained and well equipped; there is also drinking water available for free (with and without carbonation). The fruit and vegetable stand in front of the site is also highly recommended. The beach is about a 10-minute walk away. Some pitches are 200m in a straight line from the railway track. The train runs at least every hour on weekdays, even at night. Especially with a tent or rooftop tent, it’s hard to sleep. After some discussions, we were allowed to switch for the second week (only on Saturdays), and the second site was significantly quieter. We also noticed negatively that you pay extra for almost everything. Prices in the shop, store, etc. are also sometimes expensive. Mini-golf per person €4 (for kids too), beach chair per day €10-20, ice cream €2.50 for one scoop in a cone, .... As unfortunately (recently at many campsites), there are very many inflexible regulations. Arrival only Saturday to Saturday. No earlier/later departure (only whole weeks), all barriers are closed between 14-16 o'clock (afternoon rest), etc. Overall, it was nice, but unfortunately for us, especially compared to other places, it’s not worth a (top) recommendation.

The campsite itself is very nicely laid out and also very clean. The sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day, as is the entire campsite. There are two restaurants on the campsite where one can have a decent meal. For children, there is a very nice playground with bouncy castles. However, the nearby railway line and the nearby expressway have a negative effect. Especially from the higher numbered camping pitches, it is loud. We had a negative experience at the pool. The lifeguard did not allow us to move a sunshade, even though the pool was almost empty. We then left the pool area and headed to the nearby beach, which had plenty of sunshades. However, the pool area is very nicely designed. The staff at the reception and in the restaurants are very friendly and helpful.
