Unfortunately, I cannot understand why the campsite receives such bad reviews! The sanitary building is clean, is cleaned in the morning and evening, modern, and fully functional. Optimal for visiting the national park and right by the beach with shade-giving trees. Price is also okay.

We have been to this place several times and have always liked it. Now the place gets worse every time. In the past, we could use the hotel's wellness facility and also eat at the beach restaurant there. This has not been possible since a change of ownership. Now one toilet facility is permanently c

I cannot understand the ADAC rating of 4 stars. Our parking spot (with a view of the sea) was indeed beautiful, especially for a sunset, but the entire facility shows a lack of maintenance. Doors and fences of the site are torn out, lying around or no longer exist, and there are numerous black mold

Let's start with the positive f609 very nice location with its own gravel beach. The beach bar offers a wide selection of drinks and has a few small snacks available. A supermarket is located directly in front of the site. The city is within walking distance. The staff were super friendly. And n

Actually a nice manageable place. We had reserved two days before arrival for 5 days and were in the second row by the sea - very nice. Reception very nice. Not so great: The second sanitary building permanently closed. Cleaning and condition of the remaining sanitary building - grade 4. 4 toilets

The site is fully booked and only one sanitary facility is usable, as the second one is already too old and has been closed. The usable washhouse is also outdated, very small, and not very clean. Not acceptable during Corona times. Wi-Fi works very unreliable. Gray water disposal is not accessible a

The sanitary facilities were very clean, but are in urgent need of renovation. The space available in the showers and toilets is very small. Otherwise, it is a small but very nice place.

Whether mountain hikers or beach holidaymakers, families or couples: if you love the deep blue Mediterranean and the rugged Croatian coast, Camping Paklenica is the perfect holiday spot. The waves of the Adriatic Sea meet the shallow pebble beach right next to the campsite and the Paklenica National Park is just next door, inviting you to explore the mountains and the rocky locations of the old Karl May films. The Winnetou Museum is just a few steps away from the campsite.
The 2.7-hectare site of Camping Paklenica offers holidaymakers 110 pitches equipped with electricity and Wi-Fi. In addition, 95 air-conditioned mobile homes with kitchen, WC, shower room, living area, terrace and up to three bedrooms offer plenty of space for guests. Some of the pitches and accommodation are located in the first row by the sea. In front of the tree-lined campsite is a 500 m long and 10 m wide pebble beach, which invites you to splash around, bathe, swim and snorkel in the crystal-clear Mediterranean Sea. Holiday guests are well entertained with beach volleyball and a sports programme, children's entertainment and evening music events. Diving courses and organised excursions to the surrounding national parks are also part of the campsite's service. Just 2 kilometres from the accommodation in the village of Starigrad is the Paklenica National Park, a mountain world full of bizarre rocks and wildly romantic gorges. The national park is considered the largest climbing area in Croatia and offers around 200 kilometres of hiking trails for all levels of difficulty. The Manita peć show cave, the Velika Paklenica and Mala Paklenica gorges and the peaks of the Velebit massif, which are over 1,700 metres high, are among the highlights of the national park.
Cineastes and Karl May fans can discover the locations of the Winnetou films in the Croatian national parks. But even for visitors without a penchant for the literary and film classics, the landscape scenery is an experience. In addition to the Zrmanja Canyon in Paklenica National Park, the lake and waterfall paradises of Krka and Plitvice Lakes National Parks were also popular film locations. Excursions to the coastal island archipelago of the Croatian Adriatic are a welcome change. It is only a few kilometres from Starigrad to the island of Pag, which can be reached via a bridge and enchants visitors with its unreal lunar landscape. A little further south, the island worlds of the Kornati National Park await you for boat trips, snorkelling and diving excursions.
