The interior of the sacred building fascinates with its colourful stained glass windows, numerous statues and frescoes. 3 kilometres from the campsite, Baveno attracts visitors with its magnificent villas - such as the red-brick Henfrey Branca. A stroll through the pretty English garden is well worthwhile. Boat trips to the enchanting Borromean Islands, such as Isola Madre, also depart from Baveno. This is home to one of the oldest botanical gardens in Italy, where cypresses, honey palms and other subtropical plants can be seen. Animals such as peacocks and Chinese pheasants also live here.
