A very beautiful and tidy place. Sanitary facilities always clean, location stunning. Very friendly and helpful reception. We didn't use the sauna & pool. Sites aren't huge but around 80 sqm is sufficient. Starting point for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, or skiing is top-notch. Transport connections are very good. Pitch/rental accommodation: Truly great.
A bit more privacy from hedges between the sites.

A beautiful place, very well maintained and equipped with very clean sanitary facilities (although there was sometimes only cold water in the ladies' showers in the small sanitary building). The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is remarkable. And the place has a very good infrastructure (small but well-stocked supermarket, two restaurants, swimming pool and saunas, nice little zoo, bus stop right in front of the place, etc.). One star deduction for the noticeable construction noise (but that will not be a problem next year). And the price-performance ratio is great!

A 'Very good' for the friendliness and willingness to help of the staff, the very clean sanitary facilities, the overall cleanliness of the site, the small shop with a great variety of offerings (very tasty rolls in the morning!) and La Baita (the rustic café) !!! Pitch/Rental accommodation: We really liked that we didn’t need leveling wedges on the flat ground and that there were connections for electricity, water, and wastewater available!
Not so pleasant was the construction noise (this should be over next year) and that in the small sanitary building - at least for the ladies - there was often only cold water coming from the shower.

Overall, we were not satisfied with the stay, as we expected something different from a 4-star place. The sanitary facilities in the main building no longer meet this rating in any way. Poor shower heads, no consistently warm water, deposits, etc. My wife contacted Camping Olympia via email regarding this during our stay, also about the cleanliness. A response has yet to be received. After a week, we discovered the new sanitary building, which is in good condition. At departure and payment at the reception, there wasn't even an inquiry whether we liked it or if everything was alright!

Location of the campsite
There is little to nothing for children to do, especially for those aged 11. Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: We had requested a large spot during booking and via email, but unfortunately, it barely fit. There were larger spots available on the campsite that were regularly free.

Gastronomic offers
Thanks to its location in the South Tyrolean Dolomites, the many advantages for winter sports enthusiasts on site and the nearby ski areas, Camping Olympia is the ideal place for all winter fans during the cold months. Four-legged friends can also feel at home and are very welcome.
The Olympia campsite is located in the South Tyrolean Dolomites, just 2 km from Dobbiaco at 1,243 metres above sea level. The nearest bus stop is 50 metres away; the Rienz river runs right past the site. Camping Olympia offers 206 pitches for mobile homes, each measuring between 90 and 100 m². The South Tyrolean mountains can be admired from every pitch - snow-covered mountain slopes in winter, green mountain pastures in spring and summer. The campsite offers an optimal service for caravans and motorhomes, including the supply of gas bottles. There is also the option of using the launderette with washing machine, tumble dryer and drying room. The campsite is usually quiet at night, but there may be some disturbance during the day, especially near the swimming pool or at meeting places. The campsite is quiet from 1 to 3 pm. There are many leisure activities available all year round. There is an animal park right next to the campsite with ponies, goats, swans, geese and many other animals. In the summer months, the campsite invites you to barbecues and live music, while in winter toboggan rides and Christmas parties are organised and, in good weather, a campfire is lit under a starry sky. Relaxation is also catered for: a wellness area is equipped with everything your heart desires. From Finnish sauna to hammam and indoor Kneipp facility, everything is included.
Whether hiking, cycling or mountain biking in summer or skiing, cross-country skiing and other activities in winter - the picturesque natural surroundings of the campsite are ideal for outdoor activities of all kinds. In winter, the Sesto Dolomites and Plan de Corones ski areas can be reached in around 20 minutes, while the Rienz family ski area in Dobbiaco, where beginners and pros alike can get their money's worth, is closer. In summer, cycling and hiking trails that start right at the campsite invite you to go on extensive tours. For those interested in culture, there are many opportunities to visit museums in the region. The nearby Three Peaks mountain range offers many hiking and cycling trails in summer and ski slopes in winter, as well as a show dairy where you can watch the production of different types of cheese up close.
