Beautifully located campsite with great views, however in my opinion somewhat chaotic and unsatisfactory organization. Upon our arrival at the beginning of October around 5:00 PM, we encountered a line of travelers waiting for the registration opening around 6:00 PM and looking ‘jealously’ at all the arrivals. We found this approach undignified and drove on. Service is different. P.S. We know the sanitary facilities from a previous overnight stay and found them clean, well-maintained, and like new.

Beautiful location within the historic city walls, from which you have a great view. Our tip is to arrive early, preferably before 4:00 PM, and occupy the nicest spot with the best view and electrical connection right away. Later on, they become scarce. Reservations are not accepted. However, if you arrive too late, you can change to a different spot the next day. The turnover is very high. No shop, no snack bar, but bakers and restaurants are about 300m away. Sanitary area is decent, with a toilet seat, but no paper. Access with a PIN, available at the reception. Registration in the evening when the operator comes by.

As for the situation in the city, I can only say good things. The city itself is very beautiful and the operators are nice. However, it feels a bit like being in a castle square or marketplace. There is little privacy since there is no visual protection from hedges or trees. Having the neighbor directly behind you, in front, and next to you is not for everyone. Personally, I did not feel comfortable like that. However, we also have a camper van and not a motorhome, so it might be a bit different in terms of the vehicle with a motorhome.

We have been to this place several times. Each time on the journey towards Southern France/Spain. Look at the positive reviews before me, I can only endorse them. We look forward to spending two nights here every year and taking a little walk.

We have been visiting this site for about 10 years on our trips to Spain, and we always stop here again on the way back. The site operator is exceptionally friendly, helpful, speaks several languages (including German and Dutch), and personally guides guests to their pitch. We especially appreciate the ability to arrive or leave the site at any time of day or night for better travel planning. If you arrive in the middle of the night, perhaps due to traffic jams, you first park in the middle of the paved area, and if you then sleep in longer in the morning or cannot make it to the reception desk for other reasons, the bill is attached in an envelope under the windshield wiper. Likewise, you can conveniently leave the due amount in the reception's mailbox. You can also ask for the code to the sanitary building by phone in advance, so this is not a problem either. The sanitary facilities themselves are not the most modern, but they are absolutely clean. The site is beautifully located within the city walls, allowing you to start a tour along them (3.5 km) with its 12 towers and 7 gates directly from the site. Langres itself is also easily explored on foot. There are many more excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity and surroundings, including 4 reservoirs and the springs of the Aube, Marne, Meuse, and Seine. We were not here for the last time! Petra and Rainer from Hürth.

The spot is located close to the highway, making it perfect for overnight stops. Great view, friendly owner who speaks very good German. Sanitary facilities are simple but clean. You can explore the small town on foot, shopping opportunities are within walking distance. We will come back!

A campsite in the middle of the city. Staff are German-speaking and very friendly. You are personally accompanied to your spot. The view is fantastic. The sanitary facilities are older, but clean. The kicker is the price. 15.40 euros for a motorhome. Internet costs nothing and works perfectly in the large area of the reception.
