Camping Municipal de Soissons

We had a great reception. The young man at the reception was soooo nice and attentive, as rarely seen otherwise. The place is beautiful and green. The sanitary facilities were always clean. For dog owners: there is a large park right across the street. One can walk into the city from here. However, there is also a large parking lot in the city where RVs can park.

We have never been received as kindly and helpfully as here - and that without a reservation. Beautiful and well-designed, ground-level pitches located under wonderful large trees. The farther you are from the entrance and reception, the poorer the Wifi reception becomes. We spent three nights there and took the opportunity to rent e-bikes at one of the many stations of Cyclovis (registration with a German credit card) in the town of Soissons. One of these stations is about 80m from the campsite. The beautiful park with an outdoor fitness area opposite the campsite was very appealing, and the whole town seemed very clean and well-kept, simply lovely in its center. A short detour into town can definitely be planned. A Carrefour City and a Monoprix, as well as several small patisseries and boulangeries, easily make up for the lack of shops at the campsite. The campsite itself offers peace and shade with very clean sanitary facilities, which are secured at night with a code; the pedestrian gate is also secured in the evenings, there is a table tennis table (paddles can be borrowed), foosball, book exchange, television, and board games available for loan - we think all of this for under 15€ for a campervan and three people is very, very good and we would go back anytime! Additionally, the nearby Aisne, along which one can stroll into town, contributes to the pleasant atmosphere - we really didn't notice the partly high temperatures at the campsite.

Simple but good. Nice place with lots of trees. Sanitary facilities are basic but clean. Very quiet and friendly.

We stayed one night at this campsite! As a woman, you don't dare to walk alone to the sanitary facilities at night. The sanitary facilities leave much to be desired! We will not be returning to this place.
