Camping Municipal Les Romarins

- about 2 weeks of large part of the site closed due to maintenance, until shortly before Easter - we regularly visit this site, a sanitary building was always closed, which increased the pressure on the other two significantly - in the lowest most frequented sanitary building, noisy maintenance work was constantly ongoing, of 5 toilet spaces for men, often only 3 were usable, women's toilets completely blocked during the day, sewer work like pipe flushing required the use of loud equipment - the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities often left much to be desired - pool closed until April 15 conclusion: - poor construction planning for the 5 to 6 quiet winter months, all problems had always been present and known - our stay was affected by construction work and long distances to other sanitary buildings - excuses, discounts were not an issue - waste disposal over Easter got out of hand, most containers at the only collection point outside the camping were overflowing, as were the containers for glass, etc. the area seems too small during full operation, previously waste was collected in containers next to the sanitary buildings - the site is in a critical phase, renovations seem unavoidable, although the pitches and hedges are still very well kept, we always appreciate the water connection at the pitch, the drainage is usually clogged, the installation of a very well-maintained pool was a step in the right direction, we also find both aromatic beds, where fresh kitchen herbs are freely available, useful, educational, and a great idea, despite some inconsistencies we still find the site very beautiful and suitable for us - shopping options are located in the village and offer fresh supply every day.

We have been coming to Maussane once a year for about 12 years to the campsite "Les Romarins". It is not a very large campsite, the individual pitches are mostly separated by hedges. The sanitary facilities are not exactly a sight to behold, but they are always kept clean. Since 2018 there is a brand new swimming pool, with loungers, very nicely done. Contrary to the ADAC description, you cannot buy anything at the campsite itself, which is not a big deal, as the nearest shops and a small, affordable supermarket are about 5-7 minutes on foot away. Internet is also always advertised at the reception, but it usually only works in the immediate vicinity of the reception and is still extremely slow even then. It is better to go to the central café and take care of your emails there. Overall, I can highly recommend the site, especially since there are many things to see in the surrounding area. Here, caravan owners have a big advantage over motorhome owners, as it is quite difficult to find parking spaces: with a car it is significantly easier. We will definitely go there again in the future. By the way: I think 3 ADAC stars are too few: it should be 4 stars.

Contrary to the description of the camping guide, the entrance to the adjacent public outdoor pool is no longer free for campers. A small private swimming pool has been built at the site. Sanitary facilities were always clean. The pitches are large.

This place is a hidden gem among campers. A typical municipal campsite. Located within walking distance to the town center. Very clean and idyllic. From the 2018 season also with its own pool (planned)

Simple, quiet place in a wonderful setting. For a relaxing holiday in Provence. Generally well-to-do.
