Camping Municipal de Molsheim

Nice camping with a new entrance area and friendly reception. The pitch was spacious and beautifully located under trees. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities were not clean (no matter the time of day) and the ladies' facilities were aging and full of cobwebs. We might have hit a bad time with the summer holidays, but the lack of hygiene was a major drawback for us. An absolute pro is the nearby small train station from which you can reach Strasbourg in 15 minutes.

Generous parking spaces, very friendly staff, very clean. Very good sanitary facilities, close to the old town, great bike paths from the site, many storks.

We spent a few days here in mid-October to explore the area. The coordinates as of 2022 lead to the old entrance. Just continue on – you can see the site. The modern reception and barrier are now at 48.542689 N 7.499753 E. The site operates under the name 'De Storik' (Alsatian for 'The Stork'). Upon check-in, a pitch is assigned – it's better to take a look at them beforehand; they accommodate requests. The pitches are generously sized grassy sites with a looser tree cover. There are some supermarkets - including a German discount store - in the village. The public pool is only across the street (reduced admission). Dogs are allowed with the usual restrictions. The sanitary facilities are basic, but everything is there, in order, and very clean. The nearby local roads did not disturb in any way. The free Wi-Fi can be quite temperamental at times. Recommended as a base for exploring the region.
