Camping Municipal de Mâcon

Shady, sufficiently large, flat camping pitches, without water connection, but with electricity. Very nice, clean pool, sanitation okay. Disco nearby, audible until late at night, early in the morning then noise from the first departing campers. A highway rest area can be quieter.

The area is almost exclusively used for overnight stops on the way south by campers. Close to the highway. The pitches are mainly under tall trees, usually no SAT reception. Upon arrival, free choice of pitches, so searching is in order; from the afternoon, it is mostly full. Those who are lucky find a little spot to be able to stay hitched. Heavy motorhomes, be careful, these are grassy pitches that can become muddy after rain. Hardly any paved pitches. No pitches with water/sewage. The restaurant is only open until 6:00 PM, and there is no eagerness to stay there. The Lidl and McDonald's are opposite the entrance, and the campsite does not have a shop. The sanitary facilities are clean, the toilets have no seat covers, and only one large roll of toilet paper in the hallway; when the roll is empty, no one has paper left. Like in the '70s. Big departures in the morning from 6:30 AM.

Pleasant place, beautifully landscaped, sanitary facilities clean and modern, friendly service, excellent shopping opportunities, beautiful destinations in the area, we will come again.

We were just passing through. A place for one night then. Super conveniently located and supermarket around the corner. Reception nice and friendly, free choice of spots, plots sufficiently large. Pool and restaurants not tested, as we had seen the sanitary facilities beforehand and unfortunately it hit us hard in the stomach. Dirty and neglected, hair, beard stubble, toothpaste everywhere. Mold in the showers, spider webs all over the attic. Cleaning intervals seem to be very long. In the morning, then discovered a cleaning lady in the women’s toilets, who blocked the entrance with her cleaning cart to be able to "clean" undisturbed, however she seemed to be doing that for about three-quarters of an hour only from her phone... How the ADAC could give 4.5 stars for the sanitary facilities here remains a big mystery to me. We have seen many washhouses, but this was a big disappointment.

A very beautiful, very large campsite with large plots. Very clean sanitary facilities, everything very well maintained, supermarkets just around the corner, conveniently located. We will come back.

Free choice of spots (large spaces, uncoupling was not necessary), shops in the immediate vicinity and a pool to cool off. Sanitary facilities clean and spacious. All in all, a good place for a break.

We stayed here one night on our way from southern France. The site is located in an industrial area. Upon entering the site, everything is green and clean. Nice reception, plenty of space available. Toilets etc. all clean and tidy. There is a great restaurant with nice service. Super pizza, but also fish and burgers. We will definitely come back.

Close to the highway, shopping opportunities nearby. Spacious, green area. The children had fun on the playground. Sanitary facilities were clean. However, there is no toilet paper in the restrooms, but it is available at the front on a large roll. No toilet seats. I did not find the showers very pleasant, extremely musty and damp, leaving the door open did not help either. They definitely need better ventilation. For me, it's a place to pass through, but not to stay longer.
