for everyone who enjoys being in nature. Terraced terrain with some massive boulders. The meltwater runoff from the glacier splits the area and the famous Voldefossen hangs almost over one. Accordingly loud noise backdrop. Just enough sanitary facilities, but they are clean. There is even a sauna here.

Very clean, terraced pitches integrated into the landscape, a rustic hut for grilling and comfortable gatherings, and many other details make this place an absolute recommendation.

The campsite is located directly at the Volefossen and is a 45-minute walk from Brikdalsbreen. The site has separate sauna and toilet/shower facilities for men and women. You can cool off after the sauna in the glacial river located at the campsite. Additionally, there is a common/dining room with an open fireplace. A kitchen is also available. Yoga house with regular open classes, Stone Age cave, climbing boulders, observation platform with a view of Oldenvatnet and Brikdalsbreen. Absolutely recommended.

Looking back after 3 weeks of road trip through Norway, Melkevoll Bretun was definitely the most beautiful campsite on our journey. Lovingly created and nestled in beautiful nature with views of glaciers and waterfalls. With sauna access directly by the glacial river, boulder rock formations, a cozy communal hut with a fire pit, and a yoga room built into a rock - the people are super nice - what a place to be!

Very quiet beautiful campsite located in nature with a waterfall backdrop and a glacier reachable by a 1-hour hike. Campsite facilities are clean and sufficient for the size of the site.
