The beautiful flowers at the campsite. The jeu de boules. Pitch/Rental accommodation: The location of our accommodation with greenery and an unobstructed view.
It's a shame that the bridge had already ended. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Possible improvements: Air conditioning in the upstairs bedroom. A larger, sturdier parasol on the terrace.

I had been to this campsite several times with my caravan more than 10 years ago. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the surroundings. Also in 2026.
Petanque is now later than 12 years ago, and it can sometimes be too warm, at least for me as an 85-year-old. Pitch/Rental accommodation: nothing

The atmosphere is great, and the staff is friendly. There are plenty of activities for both young and old. The pitches/accommodations are very spacious, providing lots of privacy. Everything is well organized.
Two minor points: the lighting on the grounds is very poor and the WiFi was inadequate for us. Pitch/Accommodation: Actually nothing.

We have already returned twice to this campsite in just 15 days, and we loved it! The setting is beautiful, calm, and relaxing, with plenty of activities to do: cycling, hiking, swimming in the river or pool, tennis, and more... there is plenty to keep you busy. The welcome is warm, and you really feel at home. There is also an excellent restaurant with generous portions and very reasonable prices. A campsite that we recommend without hesitation, and to which we will gladly return! Site/Accommodation: the pitches are really well designed, and we appreciated being able to choose our spot for our camper, complete with a convenient electricity hookup.

The camping is nestled in a beautiful location right in the heart of the Cévennes. The pool is also sublime. We greatly appreciated the manager's hospitality, who was really attentive to our needs. A big thank you!

Gastronomic offers
The Mas de la Cam campsite primarily appeals to campers looking for relaxation who appreciate a variety of bathing areas. Families also get their money's worth here and can even bring their dogs. The campsite is located in the middle of a forest on the banks of the Gardon, where visitors can swim, as well as in the campsite's large and well-maintained pool area.
In the Gard department, the Mas de la Cam campsite welcomes its visitors on 200 parcelled out pitches in the nature reserve of the Parc National des Cévennes. The Corniche des Cévennes panoramic road runs right next to the campsite and offers unforgettable views. The Gard is heavily dominated by rivers, which is also noticeable on the campsite. It is not only located directly on the banks of the Gardon, but also has a smaller stream running through it. The centrepiece of the site is undoubtedly the pool area. This is partially heated and covers around 500 square metres, with different types of swimmers getting their money's worth: While sporty swimmers do their laps, the little ones have fun in the shallow water or in the water playground. Young guests are also welcome in the dry playground, where they can have fun and really let off steam. If you want to get to know lots of other children quickly, the campsite's mini club is the place to be. As a special highlight, horse enthusiasts can also go pony riding. For parents, there is also a broad, animated sports programme available, including pétanque, tennis and team sports. Free internet access is also available on the campsite via WLAN.
The Gardon beach, which is located directly in front of the campsite, invites you to sunbathe, while the river itself tempts you to swim and splash around. The Corniche des Cévennes is a panoramic road that invites you to take a stroll, regularly interrupted by impressive views of the surrounding countryside. Thanks to the bike hire service directly at the Mas de la Cam campsite, it is also particularly easy to cycle along these and other routes. As group excursions are often more fun, the campsite management also offers regular guided hikes and cycle tours in the surrounding area. The Parc National des Cévennes is of course always an attractive destination, with its rivers and abundance of species. You can also find evidence of bygone eras such as the Neolithic Age.
