Capfun Camping Marina Aléria

Very nicely located right by the sea. Sanitary facilities are old but spotlessly clean. 2 nice restaurants right at the square. For 1-2 nights you can take the spot.

First of all - I cannot understand the 4-star rating, even compared to other places in Corsica. Pros: direct beach location (natural beach), pool area with 3 slides, spa and baby pool, playground, bouncing castles, shady spots, appealing bar and restaurant area, two good restaurants right next to the beach Cons: overall the site is unkempt (leaves and needles everywhere, pavement tiles sticking up), mini-market is very poorly stocked (sweets, hardly any drinks, only basic necessities for breakfast!) Horror: the sanitary facilities. They are not only old but also completely unkempt and totally run-down!! Not even lit up in the dark!!! Even though the fun factor for the children is really good, I am glad that we only spent 3 nights at the site. There are definitely much better campgrounds in Corsica that have a similarly beautiful location and rightfully earn the 4 stars - this one unfortunately does not!

The places are unkempt. Needles, branches, and bark could be collected. The mini market doesn't even have water anymore. The sinks are leaking so much that you have to place buckets underneath. The paths to the showers are accident-prone, as the tiles are uneven. Even an old facility can be well-maintained.

We were camping at the end of August 2021: Location: right by the sea (with driftwood fence), the sites are rather small and without shade (no trees). Inside, the sites are very large and shady. Offer: Very child-friendly with many activities (especially during lunchtime and in the evenings). Facility: Sanitary facilities are very clean, toilet paper must be brought along (common in Corsica). Shop: only the essentials, but breakfast items are provided. Reception: very friendly. Price: Reasonable for families with children (+3), rather expensive without children. Beach: great beach with plenty of driftwood, quickly deepening water. Surroundings: A winery and two restaurants in close proximity, the village is a bit further away (easily accessible by bike). We were already at the site in 2018 and find the sunrise on the beach spots always wonderful!

Very friendly reception, the site offers the possibility of reservation (rare in Corsica), pitches under pine trees. Immediate proximity to the fine sandy beach. Great animation and a very good restaurant on site. Sanitary facilities partly in need of renovation.

Small pitches right on the beach with sea views. Very clean and friendly sanitary facilities. Small supermarket with daily freshly baked goods and other necessities. Lots of animation, but more for the entertainers themselves than for the guests. In the evenings music and dancing, which may be a bit too loud for some.

Great campsite, friendly staff. There is a strong emphasis on cleanliness of the sites, and additional amenities like refrigerators are offered. The sanitary facilities are okay and clean, but somewhat worn down in places. Tiles are breaking (risk of injury), and there are also some broken showers, etc. - but this might be due to the off-season.

It was once again a wonderful vacation with our children. The only downside now is the market, which has less to offer from year to year. Otherwise, the place is just great with kids.
