Camping Mals

Very well-maintained sanitary facilities. Place very well-maintained.

The terraced and beautifully located CP Mals now has 90 pitches, some of which are designed for tents or campervans. All pitches have electricity (16 A) and fresh water. We had one of the larger pitches (No. 6), the access and size was perfect for us with 7.10 m plus 5 m for the car. The trees also provided nice shade for us from the late afternoon onward. Mr. Punter, who speaks German, and his employee were always calm and friendly, and very eager to provide information. Fresh rolls could be ordered for every day except Sunday, the small shop at the reception had some essential items and chilled drinks as well as ice cream. The site had many German and Dutch campers, as well as some Belgian, Italian, and English ones. There were families with children as well as seniors represented. The playground was perfect for our youngest. For the bigger ones, there was a kicker and two table tennis tables. Two washing machines and a dryer (each 5€) as well as a drying panel for ski boots during the winter season were well booked. The sanitary facilities were spotlessly clean, and there was never any waiting time. Additionally, the price included free entry to the swimming pool in Mals (max. 5 minutes walking) as well as free travel by bus and train through the included Vinschgau card and other discounts, e.g., at mountain railways. The train station and bus station were located between CP and the swimming pool. However, the tranquility was never disturbed. The location is perfect for excursions without your own vehicle. Mals is located on the Etsch cycle path, which we rode in both directions (sensational!!). Bikes can be taken on buses and trains for an additional charge. There is also a shuttle service in some cases. If I understood correctly, no E-bikes are transported. In and around Mals, there is plenty to experience and discover for both young and old. The town center is about a 15-minute walk away. Quite uncharacteristically for the area were the heavy rainfalls, which fell during some nights (not during the day!). However, everything was dry again within two hours. The pitch (dry grass) was never muddy despite the very firm ground. For us, it was a fantastic and eventful two weeks, during which we did a lot on foot, by bus, by train, and rarely by car. We will definitely be back!

A really very good campsite. Due to the location in and around Mals, it's a campsite with a great view. The sanitary facilities are plentiful and very clean. The roll delivery service is tasty and well thought out. Only on Sundays there is none. What else is there to write? We spontaneously extended our stay..... and we will definitely come back again. Thank you very much for the great and friendly service.

Absolutely friendly operators of the site, which is very well equipped and encourages you to stay for a long time. Included in the price is the Vinschgau ticket, which allows you to travel to Bolzano using public transport, thus preserving the environment in this beautiful region. In addition to the very well-maintained sanitary facilities, there is a small kiosk with the most important groceries. The site is highly recommended! We have been there 3 times now and are always very satisfied.

It's a dream! You have a dreamy wide view. View of the highest mountains in South Tyrol. No matter where you look, you are surrounded by mountains. Super clean and colorful washrooms. With underfloor heating! :) A very warm and family-like atmosphere. In just a few minutes you are at a central square, from which you can easily get everywhere by public transport, thus you can do without a car. Little rain and lots of sun. From spring to autumn, it's always worth camping here.
