Camping Mainschleife

Absolute recommendation: great location at the Main loop with swimming opportunities, very nice atmosphere, family-run and thus a great atmosphere.

The parking space right by the Main was large. The staff was exceptionally friendly. The sanitary facilities were new and always very clean. The food and drinks in the campsite restaurant were good and the price-performance ratio was right. Absolutely recommended. We will return.

Really great camping site, very friendly staff

The site is very well suited as a stadium for great hikes and bike tours in one of the most beautiful wine-growing regions of Franconia. In the village, reachable in 3 minutes on foot, there are some winemakers (very well known here is the "Escherndorfer" Lump). The site is also very well suited for families with children. There is the opportunity to splash around and swim in the Main. Extremely quiet place. The price (for the pitch) is in the upper range. As of the end of May 2023, €26 for a pitch and 2 persons plus electricity. The only thing that I think could be improved is the menu. There are no fries and no fried potatoes. So, a schnitzel for example with potato salad. That's not everyone's taste. However, everything that is offered tastes very good. The breakfast (large breakfast for €8) was disappointing (on Sundays and public holidays there are no bread rolls), but the scrambled eggs for about €4.50 are the absolute recommendation. The sanitary facilities are, like everything else here at this site, "very" well maintained! We are happy to come back.

Beautiful place, dreamy location in the vineyards, right by the Altmain and the ferry to Nordheim. Very nice, dedicated, and uncomplicated owners with their team. Cozy beer garden and restaurant, with delicious food. Sanitary facilities very clean - additionally a new, modern sanitary house. We have been there twice already and will come back very soon.

The motorhome parking space, which belongs to the campsite, was well equipped. The electricity is paid for with coin insertion so that you only have to pay for what you consume. The spots are suitable for campervans and motorhomes up to 8m. The sanitation facilities of the campsite can be used for free. Everything was clean and modernly equipped. The campsite has a small restaurant with a terrace. You can pre-order breakfast, even with a glass of sparkling wine. In the display, there were cakes and pastries that invited you for a lunch break. The staff on site were very friendly and uncomplicated. A spot in the motorhome parking area could be easily reserved on site by acquaintances. And breakfast without prior registration was also possible. For a few days, definitely a good place.

Very nicely located campsite. Great service and delicious food in the restaurant and at the kiosk. Sanitary facilities are excellent and always clean. We will come back!
