Between Otta and Trondheim, in the midst of impressive nature, Magalaupe campsite welcomes its guests in Norway. The campsite in Oppdal is located directly on the banks of the Driva River, which is ideal for swimming and fishing for salmon and trout. The impressive landscape around Oppdal offers wonderful hiking trails and spectacular mountain bike routes, for example through the Dovrefjell National Park. A musk ox safari with the campsite's own mountain guide is a must-do on a holiday at Magalaupe campsite and an unforgettable experience for the whole family. Oppdal is one of the most beautiful winter sports areas in Norway and offers marvellous slopes for skiers and great trails for cross-country skiers. Small, rustic site right by the river.

With the camper by the rushing river. Very personal small site. Everything is very clean. The lady of the house is very courteous and friendly. She asked us to keep the dog on a leash because she keeps sheep or goats. In September we had free choice of spots. The toilets are renovated and really good. The electricity is installed in a somewhat adventurous way but works.

This place is ideal for the not 'detached' RV travelers. Beautifully and quietly located by a creek (Driva) Well-equipped, family-friendly camping spot. We and our dog felt very comfortable, which is why we stayed for another 3 days on our return trip.

Beautiful flat terrain. The barely visible road and the railway are drowned out by the wild stream. Quite romantic indeed. A sanitation building can be along the way. The showers and the 2 WCs in the reception building are alright but not spectacular. Everything is a bit aged, especially considering the adventurous electrical installation.

Parking space directly by the rushing stream. Sanitary facilities are average but clean, however, there are only a few toilets and only 2 showers. Nice hikes are possible along the wild Driva river. Reception closes at 9:00 PM. RVs came to us after this time. They just wanted to park somewhere, which led to some discussions.
