The pitches are large, the staff very friendly, the sanitary facilities were relatively clean but urgently need to be renovated. Unfortunately, the prices are a bit overpriced as this is not a 5-star campsite.

It may be that the site was taken over only 2 years ago, but especially regarding pricing, one should think carefully. Although a new sanitary facility is under construction, the existing sanitary facilities are comparable to an experience area! With a bit of luck, you get hot water when you hit the

Prices above are no longer valid: 41 Euros for a motorhome parking space 5x10m on an unkempt gravel parking lot, 2 adults, 1 dog, and electricity. Construction site directly next to it, related sanitary facilities closed due to renovation. Remaining sanitary facilities from the 80s, cleanliness depe

We stood next to the construction site in the dirt. Charging €41 for that is really outrageous. The sanitary was also dirty. We had to search for the parking spot for a long time because it was not numbered.

Friendly staff. Area under construction with building sites. Parking space large enough, but unkempt and also looked like a construction site due to hanging cables, etc. To charge 19,- for the night was already outrageous. We have never seen such dirty sanitary facilities as at the camping sites. Th

Great place, we were surprised. There are still really bad reviews online that do not apply. Very nice staff, only to be praised.

Active holidaymakers and families with children will find a peaceful natural idyll between water fun and hiking pleasures at Camping Losheim am See.
On the southern edge of the Black Forest, Camping Losheim am See is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and families with children. The peaceful campsite, now also known as Wellnester Camp, is located in the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park on the banks of the large Losheim reservoir. The idyllic body of water in the north of Saarland offers young and old a wealth of leisure activities. Whether pedal boating, surfing, stand-up paddling or swimming: Water fun is guaranteed. If you are looking for relaxation while hiking and cycling, the campsite is also the right place for you. The multi-award-winning Saar-Hunsrück-Steig trail runs in the immediate vicinity and allows nature lovers to immerse themselves in a pristine landscape of deep forests, seemingly endless meadows and babbling streams. Alternatively, the approximately 4-kilometre Losheimer See circular trail not far from the campsite invites you to take a long walk. Back on the dog-friendly, 10-hectare holiday site, spacious pitches for caravans and motorhomes await alongside rentable retro caravans and tiny houses with a garden and terrace. There is also a meadow area planted with trees and shrubs. All pitches are equipped with electricity. Water taps can be found throughout the campsite. Modernised sanitary facilities including a washing machine and dryer room are also available.
In addition to the unparcelled tent pitches at Losheim am See campsite, children will discover a playground where they can run around. There are also dedicated ball courts and designated bathing areas for swimming and splashing around. Guests can enjoy drinks and a sweet snack in between meals at the campsite's own Café Camperia with its stylish ambience and cosy outdoor area under the trees. Not far from the campsite, guests can discover other catering establishments to enjoy and linger. Losheim's high leisure factor also speaks for itself. The local lido with diving platform and water slide is just as attractive as the mini golf course and the boat harbour. A special attraction is the lake garden right by the water. Here you can stroll around in a sea of flowers and grasses, relax on sun loungers and watch the children having a great time in the huge water playground. Alternatively, you can chug through the countryside on the nostalgic Losheim museum railway. The region around Camping Losheim am See is particularly famous for the Great Saar Loop. An excursion to the Cloef viewpoint in Mettlach, around 16 kilometres from the campsite, offers a breathtaking view of the winding river and its green valley. History buffs can visit the Roman Villa Borg archaeological park in the Moselle town of Perl.
In the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park, Camping Losheim am See is a Saarland outdoor paradise between water and forest. At the dog-friendly campsite on the banks of the Losheim reservoir, active holidaymakers and families can enjoy soothing tranquillity and a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by greenery.
