The location of the campsite is great for biking and hiking in the Rhine Valley. The nearest town, St. Goar, is about a 15-minute walk away, where there are good dining options and a boat dock. At the campsite, there is a bread delivery service and a shop. Staff provide information about activities. The food at the restaurant associated with the campsite is recommended. Negative: We were at the campsite for 5 days during Ascension Day. We were lucky to get a spot in the front row, but unfortunately, we have to note the following negative: it is almost impossible to sleep at night, the noise from the trains on both sides of the campsite was unacceptable for us. If we hadn't had tickets for the concert (Peter Maffay), we would have left! The small WC/shower stalls are completely outdated and were only superficially or not cleaned at all during our stay. Here, profit comes before comfort.

Hello, first the positive: the entrance is well made, the staff are very friendly and the spots right by the Rhine are very nice. But now: the sanitary facilities are very, very old and it smells very unpleasant. Renovations are taking place, but only the bare minimum is being done, so the condition is certainly not improving. Hot water was also not always available. The individual sanitary cabins scattered around the site are in a miserable condition. We will not be returning to this place.

Hello, the place is very nicely located by the Rhine. Unfortunately, the toilets and showers have not been cleaned in 3 days. The men's toilet was closed. The water at the cleaning station for the chemical toilet was turned off. Too bad. Because the cleaning machine did not work properly and was also not clean. The rolls were a disaster, as they were probably baked twice and therefore very hard and dry, and that for 4 rolls at 3.70 €. Ridiculous. You can arrive at any time, but you can only leave the site by car when the reception opens the next morning at 8:00 AM and you have registered. (they could have mentioned that on the homepage) So we unfortunately had an appointment the next morning, because we could not take it. We were looking forward to it but will not return. We are very disappointed with the place.

It’s a great campsite, We go there often for 2 or 3 days. So far, everything has always been top-notch. Toilets and showers are clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice new shop where you can actually find everything you might need. The train doesn’t personally bother me. I can choose my spot and I think that’s great.

Very nicely located site right by the Rhine. We were just there over the long weekend. It was very crowded, and as a result, the sanitary facilities were not as clean as we were used to from our last stay. For the toilets, one had to wait a bit longer, and the showers and sinks had to be cleaned more frequently due to the rush. There are small washhouses distributed around the site, however, the water pressure in the showers and the control of the water temperature need significant improvement. The new check-in area and the shop have turned out very nicely, the selection and prices in the shop are fine. Unfortunately, card payment is not possible, but within walking distance in St. Goar, you can find an ATM from the Sparkasse. The little town invites you to hike and drink wine. We will definitely come back, but hope for cleaner sanitary facilities.

The place is located between the Rhine and the road, with busy traffic on the railway line. The view of the Loreley is very beautiful. We were here for one night on our way and I wouldn't stay longer. The spots are mostly not parceled out and everyone can choose where to park. Actually, everything was already full when we arrived, but more vehicles kept getting "squeezed in" due to the extended weekend... It goes without saying that the sanitary facilities here quickly reach their limits in terms of capacity and cleanliness. Maybe the situation is different in the off-season, but we wouldn't come back here. Opposite is the affiliated restaurant, where you can really eat very well and the staff is very friendly.

Top class. Very friendly staff. Everything you need is there. The sanitary facilities were very clean and well-maintained. A well-stocked shop with roll service. We felt very comfortable and will certainly not be here for the last time. Best regards from Cologne.

Very nice place with friendly staff. Absolutely recommended. Both sides of the Rhine are easily accessible through fast ferry services. Electricity must be paid extra, but prices are absolutely reasonable. As mentioned often in the reviews, the noise level from the ships is somewhat high, while I find the train absolutely fine. If I book by the water, I also have to deal with the fact that there are ships 😉. Card payment would be a small plus, but cash is also fine. We will gladly come back.
