Camping Lofthus

This camping site is worth an overnight stay just for its location and the view. The access is well signposted but is through a very narrow road in the middle of the orchards. Cleverly, the signposting leads campers from the north or south via this road to the site. This means that in the afternoon and on departure day, there is hardly any traffic from other campers to expect. The team is very friendly and speaks fluent English. Campers are not 'squeezed' onto the site; rather, everyone has the same amount of space available. Whether you come with a motorhome, caravan, or Defender with a roof tent, everyone has enough room. The areas are partially slightly sloping. The sanitary facilities are clean. They are cleaned daily around noon and closed for that purpose. The kitchen and washing area are on the other side of the street. However, this is not a problem at all due to the low traffic.

The manageable space provided us with everything we needed for one night: not a parking space cramped together, but a great location, a nice atmosphere, happily playing children, and reasonably good sanitation facilities. However, the view (if you want one) is somewhat obscured by several rows of holiday cabins.

The campers are situated among fruit trees. Campsite and huts with beautiful views. Narrow access road.

The site is hidden away somewhat off the beaten path with a great view over the fjord, the operator was very nice, the sanitary facilities were cleaned in the afternoon and are sufficient.

Nice place with a great view of the fjord. But with full occupancy, there are too few showers (2 each for men and women) and the kitchen area is too small. The approach with a caravan is very difficult with oncoming traffic. One should bring a long power cable, at least 30m.

Campsite with a great location and view of the fjord, Wi-Fi, sufficient sanitary facilities - however, these should be renovated.

Prime location above the fjord in the apple orchards with a great view. Free choice of seating; diligent, friendly, helpful Eastern European reception staff. It can get tight when showering or washing dishes. Food is available in the village about 1 km downhill.
