We love it here and have been many times, it never fails to please. Immaculate site, full of mature trees, good sized pitches (ours right next to the Loire), with great facilities - spotless shower block/loos with nearby composting and waste facilities, laundry, wifi, chickens and herbs!, great nearby local shops, very interesting place and handy for big towns like Saumur and Chinon. Pitch/rental accommodation: generous pitch, love being able to look out over the river.

Our emplacement was poor and dark, heavily tree covered, with a little view of the river, despite having paid extra for a riverside pitch. Pitch/rental accommodation: The ‘edge of the Loire’ designation for our pitch whilst factually true, we could see little of the river due to the trees. Very disappointing.

The campsite was very peaceful and tidy. The staff were very friendly and we ate in the Restaurant and the food was good. The Abbey and the village square is only a few minutes walk away with a market on Sunday. Next time we visit we will also be making a trip to Saumur, which is around 13 miles away.
