Small but nice.
Nice reception. Clean sanitary facilities. Area with tall trees. Located by the road, but you don't hear anything at night. Since we had reserved through the booking portal, which cost 10 euros, it was overall too expensive. Without the reservation portal, the price-performance ratio is reasonable.

👍 Nice setting, canoe and accessible pool are great, however we arrived the last week and we clearly felt it was the end, no more activities at the campsite, foosball packed away on Monday (too bad we had chosen this campsite because there was a foosball). Camping L'Ile Cariot is located in the beautiful countryside of the Vendée in France.
Well-equipped campsite with pool and lots of leisure activities
When camping in the Vendée, holidaymakers at Camping L'Ile Cariot stay on large pitches separated by hedges. The campsite also has fully equipped caravans and other rental accommodation. The heated pool is a favourite meeting place in summer. There is a paddling pool and a pool for swimmers. Holidaymakers quickly become friends at the campsite when they prepare meals together at the barbecue area. Community games, theme and karaoke evenings, night walks and other leisure activities are organised in summer.

If you fancy a day at the beach while camping in the west of France, head to Tranche-sur-Mer, 40 kilometres away. The 9 km long sandy beach is quite rightly known as "little California". Located opposite the island of Ré, the town offers many water sports facilities. Nature lovers are drawn to l'Aiguillon sur Mer, where numerous bird species live in the nature reserve. Numerous hiking trails that lead through dried marshes start directly at the campsite. A trip to the Marais Poitevin, 10 kilometres from the campsite, with its romantic villages and unique flora is recommended for nature lovers. The marsh region is known as "the green Venice" because of its numerous canals. Hundreds of kilometres of cycle paths criss-cross this natural paradise. The Vélo Francette is one of the most popular tours.
