Camping Lighthouse

We are traveling with a dog in the off-season and find the place superb. New sanitation facilities, nice staff, the cleaning ladies are constantly on the go. Walking with the dog is completely unproblematic. We will definitely come back.

As always, we visited the Camping Lighthouse with our two large dogs. Since we generally do not make reservations to remain as flexible as possible, we had the misfortune of being able to stay for only a maximum of 2 nights and additionally got pitch number 1 right at the gate. Anyone wanting to leave the pitch had to walk past us. But that is self-inflicted suffering; those wanting to stay longer should certainly book in advance. We were greeted very warmly at the site, the staff were considerate, helpful, and competent. The sanitary facilities are very new, well-equipped, and clean. However, as mentioned before in a review, they are somewhat cramped and “prone to congestion,” especially during peak times. The paths and pitches are gravelled, and we appreciate that not everything sinks into the mud, even in the rain. By the way, there was no dust development due to the gravel despite the dryness. The pitches, which are partially sufficient even for large motorhomes, are divided by opaque hedges, and there is plenty of shade from trees. What we didn’t like so much was that there are no shopping opportunities directly at the site, but this is evident from the site description. Breakfast supplies can be found either about 300 meters away at the campsite or in the village at the bakery. We discovered the nearest supermarket in Umag, where you can find everything your heart desires. Furthermore, the possibilities for walking with the dog are not particularly good, but this only concerns “travelers with dogs.” My conclusion would be that this is a small site with top facilities; with a small shop, it would be nearly perfect.

Very friendly reception and service. Spots sufficiently large, excellent sanitary facilities, but only 2 toilets and showers each. With just over 30 pitches, it can get a bit congested. Good starting point to explore Istria. For shopping, you have to drive a bit;)

I can only agree with the previous reviews. We only stayed for one night at the parking lot for motorhomes outside, but... everything was usable from the site, around the corner there’s a super delicious restaurant, after 11 PM it's almost as silent as a cemetery, just the sound of the sea and a few fishing boats... simply great, keep it up 👌

Beautiful place right by the sea. The sanitary facilities are small but fine. We never found the site to be dirty. Very attentive service from the reception. We were out and a storm was brewing. When we returned in time, the friendly employee at the reception had already safely cleared the table and chairs, and not just for us. Thank you again for that. Good food is available 30 meters next to the site. We would love to come back.

Campsite near the beach. We were actually traveling in Slovenia and wanted to make a small detour to the sea, hence the trip to Croatia. It was a complete success. Here you can also have a relaxed longer vacation. We would love to come back!
