Site
Flat meadow terrain, interspersed with different height deciduous trees, occasionally also by hedges, loosened and divided. Adjacent to a boat harbor, neighboring pitch. View over the lake and surrounding mountains. Near a road and railway line (no train traffic at night).
Access to water
About 110 m long and up to 15 m wide, occasionally interrupted sandy beach, adjacent sunbathing lawns. Also a approximately 150 m long, narrow, partially paved gravel strip lined with trees. Swimming island.
Special features on the campsite
Persons under 20 years are only accepted when accompanied by their parents. Acceptance of motorcycle groups with restrictions.
Note
Near these locations is the small Magadino airfield. Therefore, you may occasionally expect disturbances from noise due to air traffic in this area.

An absolute highlight, would love to return!!
A 5-star campsite that is worth it. The site is perfectly maintained and kept up. There are two wash houses, one is a bit older, but it is very clean and impeccable. The beach is clear and borders a sunbathing meadow. We spent 14 days there and enjoyed every single one. Very pleasant fellow campers… More

Great Campsite!
We were there for the first time this year. Everything is really great: the sanitary facilities are new and very clean, spacious pitches, very friendly staff, great restaurant. We were thrilled and will definitely come back!

A very beautiful site with a great new sanitary building
We were at the site for 10 days in September. We were greeted very warmly upon arrival. There is a new sanitary facility that is cleaned throughout the day. In the front row, there are many lakeside pitches. We really enjoyed our time there and will definitely return to this site.

We felt very comfortable....
...Cozy place, good atmosphere, sanitation facilities top-notch, but.... the issue of feeding ducks should be highlighted.... risk of duck dermatitis... I was completely affected!

Our Favorite Campsite at the Lake
My wife and I have been coming here again and again for several years. We appreciate the location by the lake, the view, the ambiance. From here, you can do a lot of activities. In August 2021, we were here for a few days and now we want to come again for a few days.

Located on picturesque Lake Maggiore, Camping Lido Mappo offers great opportunities to have fun on holiday with water sports and boating or to go on long bike rides. Children's programmes also make the campsite popular with families for a beach holiday by the lake.
Campsite with its own beach
The family-run holiday site is located at the northern tip of Lake Maggiore between the towns of Tenero-Contra and Minusio in the Swiss canton of Ticino. Right next door is the local marina, where holiday guests can moor their own boat. Part of Camping Lido Mappo is a natural lakeshore with sunbathing lawns and sand and pebble beaches. Those who enjoy camping in nature will feel at home in the park-like grounds with lush green meadows, many deciduous trees and mountain views. The camping areas are partly divided by hedges and comprise a total of 357 pitches with areas between 65 and 85 square metres. Of these, 42 pitches are located directly on the water. All pitches have access to electricity and two zones are equipped with drinking water and waste disposal connections. The modern sanitary blocks are heated with infrared radiant heaters, ensuring a pleasant showering experience. In the restaurant at Camping Lido Mappo, hungry guests can sit on the terrace surrounded by vines and enjoy Mediterranean delicacies and Ticino specialities. Regular cinema evenings are held in the TV room with its large screen, where visitors can watch films together. The atmosphere in the holiday village is quiet, but fun entertainment programmes are organised for children. The little ones can also let off steam in the outdoor playground.
