Very noisy campsite, steep pitches

The playground is very noisy, avoid pitch 1, there’s screaming and squeaking equipment until 10 PM. It’s impossible to sit peacefully in front of the motorhome. No shade... Very steep, you can only balance with very high wedges. There’s also no water connection here, the electrical socket is held together with duct tape and mesh bands. You do receive a Wi-Fi access code, but you can’t get a connection at the pitch. This is not for us, we’re leaving and prefer to go to a quieter campsite. This isn’t a relaxing holiday.

Very nice place, but the city of Concarneau 🤷♂️

For the place, there is nothing to add. Suitable for dogs (WALDWEG directly at the place), unfortunately dogs are NOT allowed on the beach 👎🏻. We find the city overrated, apart from the „Ville Close“ there is nothing special and an unkempt appearance outside of the Ville Close and the harbor.

Beautiful Location / Good Amenities

In August, we spent very nice days here as a family with a child and a dog. Our daughter (8 years old) was very satisfied with the pool and the playground. Fred had many playmates on four legs. The restaurant surprised us with its great location overlooking the sea and a good level (food, drinks, and guests). Very nice staff! For the campsite, I recommend extra equipment for leveling. The terraced pitches were very nicely separated (divided by hedges) and surrounded by trees. Sanitary facilities were mostly okay. The sandy beach is monitored by lifeguards - unfortunately, there was a lot of seaweed during our stay. Very nice old town in Concarneau. Overall, highly recommend!

We felt very comfortable. We had a large plot and were able to orient ourselves well. A labyrinthine place, with many trees and hedges. Super pool (in the shape of a fish), hot tub available, delicious restaurant, very good service. Short walks to the old town (we were walking). Beach polluted with algae. Fantastic view from the campsite over the sea. A dream in the evening as well as in the morning. Reservation is required. Sanitary facilities were great. Next to the old building, there is a very large new building with very clean areas. Small shop at the reception. Table reservation for the restaurant is a must: we had the impression that locals also eat there or enjoy the view on the large terrace. We would come back. The area is simply beautiful. The place with its old town is a dream. Note: about 10 minutes on foot there is a small but nice café/bar/tobacco and swimming gear shop on the main street. Closes early in the evening, so check in advance. Here you can enjoy a snack platter and drink Aperol.

Not for us

I agree with Gerda. We couldn't level the slopes with wedges at our spot either. It was quite noisy until 10:15 PM (playground and restaurant). We had to pay the same price as for a pitch with electricity, even though there was no power supply at this spot. The sanitary facilities are visually appealing and new, but in my opinion, they are too small for so many users. If cleaning takes place during lunchtime, there is no access for about 1 hour (this also applies to the restrooms).

Individual parking space clearly too small

Our parking space was definitely too small (for a van) and very sloped. Compensation with drive-on wedges was not sufficiently possible. The distance to the city is okay. But when the enjoyment is spoiled by the parking space, the overall impression suffers.

Very beautiful place

The site is very beautifully laid out, the pitches are sufficiently large. The sanitary facilities are very modern and clean, the pool is in good condition. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed at the end of September. You can reach the harbor on foot via a very beautiful path in about 20 minutes. There is another footpath that takes you to the nearby beach. One of the most beautiful places on our tour through Brittany.
