👍 A lovely campsite. Good reception. Everything is well maintained. There is a swimming pool. The toilet buildings are tidy. Sometimes, you had to walk a bit further for water. Electricity was indeed close by. Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: It was very nice to choose your own spot for your camper/caravan/tent. You have a choice, so you can only blame yourself if you realize later that you're not well positioned or something like that. 👎 However, the timer for the lighting in the toilet buildings goes out quite early. If you take a longer shower or use the restroom, the light suddenly turns off. And there's only a sensor by the entrance. So, you have to walk around naked under the sensor.... to turn it back on. Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: It is a terraced campsite, so you do find yourself walking up and down quite a bit. But we knew that in advance, and the campsite can't do anything about it.

👍 The surroundings are beautiful. Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: De omgeving 👎 We definitely do not recommend this campsite! You are received in a grumpy manner, the lady in the restaurant cannot even muster a smile, and every question you ask is one too many. Ice cream is only available from 6 PM, so there's no nice ice cream while swimming. Bread rolls can only be ordered from 6:30 PM and picked up from 9 AM (a tricky timeframe with young kids). The pool is fine and has a lifeguard, which is safe in itself. However, you are only allowed to swim quietly in this pool, which is not really inviting for children. Perhaps for someone without children, it would be a nice campsite, but with children, it is definitely not recommended. Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: Toilets without toilet seats and quickly dirty. Our spot was far from the football field and playground. Since there is a thoroughfare through the campsite, the children could not go to the playground by themselves.

We had a wonderful time here with our family, 6 people. The camper pitches are spacious and most offer privacy. You are definitely not side by side. There is a nice pool, not large but perfect for relaxing. The children had a great time. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but work just fine. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend trying the restaurant at the campsite as well. Delicious and definitely not expensive! The campsite is conveniently located for visits to all the famous places along the Côte d'Azur. In short, a wonderful place!

👍 Super nice campsite, centrally located with very friendly staff! Free shower: I've not experienced that much. Super clean and beautiful pool. Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: See above. 👎 The ground of the pitch was quite hard, which made it difficult to get some pegs in. But other than that, nothing to complain about. Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: See above.

👍 It was our first camping holiday. We were looking for a quiet yet centrally located spot on the Côte d'Azur. This campsite was perfect for our needs! We were able to enjoy city visits as well as beach days. What I particularly liked was the relaxed atmosphere throughout the campsite. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful, and despite language barriers, communication worked very well. We will keep this campsite in mind for future travels and will definitely recommend it. Thank you very much for the lovely time! undefinedPitch/Rental Accommodation: The pitches are arranged in terraces. There were many trees, so we had a shaded spot at any time of the day. The ground is flat, but it is difficult to get pegs into the soil. If you plan to set up a tent/awning/...

👍 A lovely site, set among old olive trees. Pitches are terraced and level, toilets are spotless. The guys at reception were always helpful. The swimming pool is well looked after. The food in the restaurant is good, though wine is either very expensive or poor quality Pitch/rental accommodation: Our pitch was large and level, partly shaded by olive trees which cast a lovely dappled shade 👎 It's a shame that there is no shop, and no toilet paper.

The quiet and shady Camping Les Philippons is perched high above the Mediterranean on the wooded hills of Les Adrets-de-l'Estérel in the Var department. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing and exciting holiday at this campsite in the south of France against a magnificent natural backdrop.
Camping Les Philippons impresses with its excellent location in the municipality of Les Adrets-de-l'Estérel in the Esterel, a low mountain range between Cannes and Saint-Raphael on the Côte d'Azur. The campsite is divided in two by a road and is partly located on a wooded slope. Trees, hedges and shrubs separate the pitches, providing shade and privacy. The pitches have an electricity connection. Holidaymakers can also book rental accommodation. On hot days, the campsite's own pool offers refreshment. Comfortable loungers around the pool invite you to linger, and there is also a paddling pool for the little ones. Families feel particularly at home at this spacious campsite, as children can let off steam to their heart's content in the playground. If your four-legged friend is also part of the party, nothing stands in the way of a long walk along the nearby Lac de Saint-Cassien. Leisure activities include table tennis, petanque and table football. Campers can also work out in the fitness room or on the multi-purpose sports field. There is an equestrian centre 2 km away, which is open in July and August. A restaurant, a snack bar and a bread roll service cater for the physical well-being of camping guests.
Visitors are well advised to get on their bikes and explore the Lac de Saint-Cassien, 6 kilometres away. At the Plage de l'Américain, you can swim, surf, play beach volleyball or go fishing. Hiking enthusiasts are drawn to the Esterel with its numerous hiking trails that lead along wooded slopes and red rock formations. The fashionable seaside resort of Cannes with its famous Plage de la Croisette and Walk of Fame can be reached by car in around half an hour. If you prefer a quieter pace, take a look around Les Adrets-de-l'Estérel. The municipality consists of several settlements, some of which are separated by deep ravines. The surrounding forests are perfect for hiking and consist of cork oaks, pines and chestnut trees. Just south of the municipality lies the picturesque Lac de l'Avellan. If you head south-west from the campsite, you can reach Saint-Raphael in half an hour. This seaside resort is also considered one of the most beautiful on the Côte d'Azur. The coast here is characterised by the Calanques - secluded, deeply indented bays with wonderful beaches. Camping Les Philippons in the Var department is located in the Esterel low mountain range. Visitors can rent accommodation and pitches on the grassy site, which is planted with various trees and hedges. Campers can relax by the pool, go on long hikes or take a trip to the sea.
