Camping Les Mésanges

The place is pure nature. On the grass and mostly under trees, you find a large pitch with all amenities. The sanitary facilities are somewhat dated but absolutely clean. As for the toilets: here you are in the depths of France, which means fortunately for this site, sit toilets, no toilet seat, bring your own paper. The toilet doors made of natural wood resemble a little cottage, but are not disturbing. The lake is less than a 5-minute walk away. The young operators are extremely friendly and are willing to help with a lack of French knowledge. Those looking for a beautiful natural site like to stay here longer.

This place is characterized by a beautiful location and tranquility, especially at night. The toilets have no seat, and you have to bring your own toilet paper. Showers are not adjustable, but pleasantly warm. During the peak travel season, a bistro has opened where there is delicious beer. We found the prices for the simple meals to be too high.

We were here for one night in the autumn of 2020 during the Corona times on our way back home. The site is within walking distance to the lake, passing through a small forest. The pitches were more than enough for our 7.40m van, it is very quiet and the concept is designed sustainably. The croissants for breakfast are very good. The washrooms are clean and have a somewhat different concept than what one is usually accustomed to, but everything you need is available. A well-suited place for all age groups.
