The campsite is located in Gérardmer, which is rightly nicknamed the Pearl of the Vosges. Only a few steps separate the pitches from the Lac du Gérardmer, where there are countless opportunities for water sports. The heated pool directly on the campsite offers swimming fun. During the summer season, there is a varied entertainment programme for young and old. Joint hikes and pétanque tournaments are a great way to make new friends.

The campsite is calm and clean. The accommodation was nice, the pool was good and the activities in the campsite were top-notch.
Regarding the accommodation, on the last day we had a storm and the mobile home was flooded.

The distance to the lake is perfect, and the view from the Honeck along with the walk to the Col de la Slucht was wonderful. The spot for the small tent provided no way to create shade or hang a washing line.
The pool was very nice, although perhaps a bit more cleaning of the bottom or filter could do wonders... after five days of staying, it became a bit cloudy when my kids were trying to grab the 'diving fishes' from the bottom. The grassy pitch was nice for the small 3*5 meter tent, but it was nowhere near enough for the large tent, let alone placing another small 1-person tent next to it. The access to the forest at the end of the camping was overgrown with painful plants...

We had a wonderful holiday at the campsite. The pool and the trampolines were very popular with the children. The pitch was very nice and the service on the site was excellent. Pitch/rental accommodation: Nice spot under birches, short walks to the sanitary facilities.

Toilet paper, soap, board games, outdoor games, and excellent animations are provided: not every evening, refrigerator, freezer available. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Nothing to report.
A thorough spring cleaning is needed for the toilets and showers (large spiders). Additionally, there should be more monitoring of car speeds within the campsite!

Cleanliness, tranquility, kindness, safety, and the amenities: swimming pool and games for kids (8 and 12 years) and also... the golaye! Location/Rental accommodation: It’s spacious and pleasant to have room.
Lack of shade at the site (but it was so hot that maybe it doesn't really matter) and it's not easy to bike from the campsite as a family. Location/Rental accommodation: Lack of shade.

We only spent a few days at the campsite, but it was still very nice. The staff was very accommodating. Location/Rental Accommodation: The spot was pristine, right next to the sanitary facilities, yet the surroundings were not noisy, which was very enjoyable. The lamp posts are not bothersome either as they are small.
Nothing to complain about :) Location/Rental Accommodation: One of the few downsides I see is that the pool is small for the number of residents. Nonetheless, it remains pleasant when there aren't too many people.

High in the French Vosges Mountains, Les Granges Bas campsite is located on the edge of a spruce forest and offers idyllic tranquillity in the midst of the nature of the low mountain range for a camping holiday away from the stress of everyday life.
Time in nature, far away from the hustle and bustle, appointments and commitments - that's what holidaymakers come to the Vosges to camp for. Thanks to its ideal location, the campsite is not only a fantastic holiday destination in summer: in addition to the pitches, which are separated by hedges, holiday guests can also book heated mobile homes, which are particularly suitable for winter. The bakery on site not only provides campers with fresh bread, but also with all kinds of traditional pastries. So every day starts with a French breakfast. The campsite's own pool invites you to cool off in summer. There is also a small shop and bar on the campsite, which offers local wines, beer as well as regional cold meats and cheeses.
The Vosges offer a wide range of activities: there are numerous hiking trails of varying degrees of difficulty where campers can explore the beautiful nature and observe wild animals. Guided hikes are also available. Lake Gérardmer is just a short hike away. This is perfect for various water sports. If you like fishing, you can do so in a private lake not far from the campsite. The Vosges are ideal for all campers who want to spend a winter holiday in France: The mountains are ideal for children to go sledging and there are not one but two ski resorts nearby!
