Camping Les Chalets du Lac is located in the heart of the Pyrenees in the far south of France. The campsite borders the Lac de Belcaire. The centre of Belcaire, with the remains of a castle, is around ten minutes' walk away. ### Camping in the Pyrenees In the legendary Occitanie region of southern France, visitors can enjoy an unforgettable camping holiday between forests and lakes. Guests can book one of the spacious pitches or choose to rent accommodation. The campsite offers rental accommodation in various categories. Guests benefit from a wealth of services and amenities at any time of year: Facilities include a heated swimming pool, a pool with a slide, a spa, a sauna and air-conditioned sanitary facilities. There is a restaurant on site and you can buy local products in the grocery shop 500 m away. ### Charming nature and historical sights From the campsite, it is just a short walk to the centre of Belcaire, where you can visit the remains of a 13th century Cathar castle and a 17th century church. The nearby lake is ideal for swimming in summer, while the Ax 3 Domaines ski area is a popular destination in winter. The ski bus stop is 100 metres from the campsite. The Grotte de Aguzou stalactite cave and the castle ruins of Montségur, Lordat and Lagarde are all within an hour's drive.
