Camping Les Castors (Burnhaupt-le-Haut)

Pros • ACSI discount in low season • Very nice campsite located by the water. • Large pitches. • Good sanitary facilities. • Good free wifi • Nice swimming water. • No "permanent campers", which is beneficial for the camping atmosphere. • A stream runs along the campsite, great for children and dogs. • Had a wonderful meal in the village at the restaurant: Au Lion d'Or. Cons • The ACSI states that the restaurant is open the entire season, but unfortunately that is not the case. When we were there in October, it was closed. Final verdict: A beautiful, atmospheric campsite with spacious pitches, good facilities, and an ACSI discount. Unfortunately, without a restaurant in October.

Family-friendly campsite with friendly and welcoming staff. The food at the restaurant is not frozen and the prices are reasonable. Location/Accommodation: Nothing.

Too many dogs at the lake despite the ban. Location/Accommodation: Mobile home a bit outdated.

The reception was friendly and cooperative. Reported issues were resolved quickly. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Water supply and wastewater disposal should be organized more conveniently for the customers.

Pros

The stay was very enjoyable; the staff is welcoming and helpful. The campsite is accessible and well-located between Belfort and Mulhouse. Nearby, there is an Hyper U for shopping. The place is calm and relaxing, ideal for a vacation. Location/Accommodation: The mobile home is easy to access, and you can park your car without much trouble. It is clean, functional, and overall in good condition.

Cons

Activating the access gate to the campsite with the remote control is somewhat difficult due to the presence of flower pots that hinder proper positioning of the car. Location/Accommodation: The microwave does not heat sufficiently, even at maximum power.

Pros

Very good stay, we were warmly welcomed. The location is really nice. Pitch/Rental accommodation: The mobile home has been nicely refurbished. However, the shower is very narrow, with the stove next to it...not very great.

Cons

The bedding lacked comfort, missing cushions and the mattress was too soft for our taste. Other than that, nothing to complain about.

The ground was a bit hard due to the dryness, which made it somewhat difficult to pitch my tent. Nevertheless, my cat and I had a very nice night at this campsite! We will return with some friends for a longer stay next time! Location/Accommodation: Sanitary facilities were spotless and highly appreciated!
