We were passing through to the south and stayed for 3 nights with 3 families on the site. Large pitches and a well-equipped campsite. The outdoor pool is more for splashing and playing, but you can swim laps in the adjacent swimming lake and paddleboard. Nice small gym. An organized canoe trip can be booked directly on site. Unfortunately, the toilets were cleaned somewhat sporadically. Cleanliness is, of course, also in the hands of the campers, but the sanitary facilities should be cleaned more frequently than 2-3 times a day (according to the notice) during peak season.

A brief introduction to the Val de Bonnal campsite, where we (2 adults + 2 children aged 3 and 5) have been for 10 days now. We had a pitch directly by the playground, sanitary building, and swimming pool. In the evenings, it was a bit loud due to the kids running around shouting; our kids tend to go to bed a bit earlier. There are 2 playgrounds with stone surfaces. Otherwise, it's nice and the kids loved it. The swimming pool has a few slides and a splash park - there isn’t a real area for swimming, everything is more for splashing around and having fun😜. Additionally, there is a very nice lake for swimming and several lakes for fishing, walking, etc. The sanitary building was clean, but unfortunately, the toilets were too high for my little one to use without help😭. The showers were sufficient and always clean. The snack bar at the site is okay, nothing special but not bad either. We didn't like the pizza, but we did like the burger. The shop offers baguettes and croissants in the morning. Otherwise, there are small items like milk, cheese, sausage, toys, drinks, etc. There are several table tennis tables and petanque courts. The best thing about the entire site is that it is beautifully green. Many trees, hedges, and bushes. We would definitely come back.

Great Campsite for Families

This site is really highly recommended. We were there with two families and children aged 11 months to 13 years, and there was truly something for everyone: great pool area, a river with fishing opportunities, and a nice lake for swimming. Everywhere there are large old trees, and the atmosphere is really wonderful.

Completely surrounded by trees, located by the river with a waterfall, with several lakes and bike paths nearby, great pool area for kids - top for families and nature lovers

This campsite is great, we were there as a family with two young children for just four nights, but you could clearly stay longer. The premium pitches are wonderfully situated under trees and have a few bushes and very nice grass, close to the pool area, near the waterfall by the river (the soundscape is pure relaxation!) and also close to the restaurant/bar/bistro/shop/reception. But the rest of the site also makes a very good and expansive impression. The site is completely surrounded by trees. All around are lakes, fields, and forests, and the small village of Bonnal. We particularly liked the pool area, very nicely designed and fun for both small and large. Also nice is the nearby lake for swimming with a large meadow as a beach and sand in the water. A bike tour around the lakes is worth it. Tip: If you exit the site to the left and keep left, you will come after about 2 km over fields and hills to a perfectly developed bike path, which is great for shorter and longer tours.
