What a beautiful week we spent around Esparron! We had incredible luck with the weather during this third week of September, and with most tourists having left, we were able to enjoy this beautiful region with a bit more authenticity and calm. Location/Rental accommodation: Well-equipped, functional, and comfortable bungalow. We especially loved the forest in front, the total peace, and the feeling of being all alone in the world (third week of September, that helps). We found the camping location ideal for exploring the area while being isolated from the tourist spots that we generally avoid. We couldn't take advantage of the restaurant, which was closed in September, but that's okay, another time! Warm welcome from the owners, whom we only encountered a few times.

Pros

The place is peaceful, the campsite is calm. We were there in September, so there weren't many people around. We were welcomed very well, and we could count on the present staff to answer our questions. Location/Rental accommodation: The accommodation is well-equipped, perfect for 2 people.

Cons

The campsite is quite far from the nearest village (we didn’t realize this when booking). Location/Rental accommodation: We were far from the sanitary facilities (there was only one shared block in the entire campsite), and the cleaning had not been done under the beds.

The ambiance and a small supermarket Location/Accommodation: Placed on the edge of the ravine with 3 children, including 1 baby, we had to leave.

👍 The welcome was excellent. The team is pleasant! Our caravan pitch is very nice under the oaks, with half shade and half sun. The sanitary facilities are very clean. There's a great atmosphere at the bar. The theme evenings are excellent. The restaurant is pleasant and the food is very good. The pizzas are excellent. A very good initiative is the ordering of bread and pastries. The pétanque court, the mini golf, and the swings are very well maintained. The calm. We were able to relax. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Well-located pitch, under the oaks. Close to the bar, restaurant, and the sanitary facilities. Water point nearby. Large space for our caravan, the awning, and the car. 👎 It would be good to remind guests of the restaurant's closing times. Pitch/Rental accommodation: At night, some motion sensor lights were a little delayed. The phone light was useful.

🤙 A quiet and peaceful campsite in the heart of nature. The young person who welcomed us was very kind and smiling. We were able to reserve a table at the restaurant the same evening, and we had a great meal. Location/Rental Accommodation: Place, region, weather. Very pleasant and warm welcome from the young lady at reception, a bit more curt and grumpy from her mother (but we are at the end of the season, we can understand that). The campsite is calm and close to activities. They accept dogs. 👎 The cleanliness of the bungalow was more than average (a pair of underwear was found under a bed, a deck of cards was lying under the coffee table, dust was present under the furniture), it's clear that the cleaning was not done. Upon arrival, we were told quite brusquely that we had to leave by 10:00 AM (while the website states 11:00 AM) to allow for cleaning. When we brought this up, ...
