Camping Le Lac d'Orient

We were here for the third time, as the site is very convenient for the journey to/from France. It offers everything you expect from a 4-star site: great location by the lake, clean and sufficient sanitary facilities, nice pitches, friendly staff (we were ‘late arrivals’ and we were helped), pool, shopping opportunities, … Highly recommended!

We were here in May and the campsite was barely occupied. We really liked the location (the city center is within walking distance, an ALDI store about 400 m away), the spacious pitches with grass, trees, hedges, and a private tap. The sanitary facilities were very clean and heated, the wash/shower cabins were large, and there was plenty of hot water coming from the tap. All in all, the campsite is highly recommended. One should pay attention to the opening hours, especially in the low season!

Generously designed facility with reception, supermarket, restaurant, playgrounds, pool area, etc. The parking spaces are very different, ranging from gravel and flat to bumpy, sloped, and grassy - in our case softened by the rain and dotted with small puddles. The facilities of the two sanitary buildings are largely incomprehensible. Although new or recently renovated, there are no urinals or troughs in the men's area - the condition of the sitting toilets or toilet seats can be imagined by anyone. Of course, it's the users' fault! The waste disposal station for campers at washhouse 2 opposite our parking space leads to vehicle congestion in the morning, including maneuvering activities. Disposal of chemical toilets and gray water tanks is also possible there, but instead of a faucet with a hose to rinse, there's only a pressure button for a second's trickle. 4.5 stars?

We were here for the third time on the round trip from the Atlantic. Already well visited in the pre-season. Great location by the Lac d'Orient. Nice bicycle paths. Well-maintained site, sanitary facilities sufficient and clean. Friendly reception at the reception desk. We will come back.

We were at the site for a week and it was just great. We were there with our two small children and we were very impressed by the play structures, children’s splash pool, water slide, children’s toilets, etc. The lake has a shallow entry, and you can enjoy playing in the sand. The staff at the reception were extremely friendly and uncomplicated. After a few days, we asked for a shadier spot, which was completely unproblematic. There is an older sanitary building (with toilet paper, soap, always very clean!) and a really nice modern sanitary building including for example a baby bathtub and large modern showers, etc. We highly recommend this site!

We, a group of 6 adults with 3 vans, have found 3 great spots here on our trip to France, despite high occupancy at short notice. The site is clean and currently quiet. The staff is very friendly. Of course, we also took advantage of the recreational facilities like indoor and outdoor pools, swimming in the lake, and bike tours. Sanitary facilities are super modern and well-maintained.
