The picturesque Le Lac des Varennes campsite is located between Le Mans and Tours, directly on the lake of the same name. In the warm summer months, the cool water is perfect for swimming and cooling off, while the beach on the lake shore is ideal for relaxing and unwinding. The campsite is kept in its original form and is characterised by meadows and trees. The pitches on the 9-hectare site are very spacious and the campsite has a number of highlights. These include the boat and bike hire, the children's playground, the entertainment programme and the restaurant. In addition to the on-site grocery shop, guests will find further shopping facilities in nearby Marçon.

Slightly sloping, well-maintained, park-like meadow area between river and lake with partly old, partly younger deciduous trees. Parcels delimited by rows of bushes and hedges. Adjacent to a leisure park.
Access to water
About 150 m long and up to 50 m wide sandy beach with adjoining sunbathing lawn.

A great wee spot
👍 Tucked away with beautiful views and great facilities. I only wished I could have stayed longer. Location/Rental accommodation: There’s plenty of trees for necessary shade in summer. The placement is reasonably flat as well.

🤝 very beautiful place by the water, dog had a great time in the river at the campsite. Pitch/Rental accommodation: everything well organized 👎 unfortunately the dog was not allowed to swim at the small beach (I understand it, but still a shame)
