Camping Le Grand Large (Camaret-sur-Mer)

The location of the campsite is very beautiful, with spots offering sea views and just 5-10 minutes walking to Trez Rouz beach. However, our experience was not good. The sanitary facilities left much to be desired, particularly in terms of smell. Moreover, an open urinal in the unisex washroom is not very modern. We had reserved and paid a long time ago for a pitch for a large caravan. Unfortunately, it was not even possible to set up the awning on the site we were given. When we inquired, the owner essentially said: if you don’t like it, you can leave, there are plenty of other people who will take the space.

Even the slightest expectations for a sanitary facility are not met. Not only is everything outdated, it is also clearly not being cleaned. Never again!

Water temperature adjustable. Ceilings of the sanitary building in need of renovation. The washbasins are partially closed. The tiles have fallen off the wall. A hair dryer that also works. Toilet paper outside the cabin. No soap, like at other 4-star places. The second sanitary block is completely closed, probably out of operation for a while. Campsites are partially very generous! Everything mowed, hedges maintained. Very friendly welcome, visiting the relevant campsites together with landlords.

Leaves nothing to be desired. Even though we were there outside of the usual season for France, there was a bread - better said baguette service. The shower room for four-legged friends was also great.
