Camping Seasonova Le Giessen

Pros

We had a very enjoyable stay at Camping Le Giessen. The campsite is peaceful. The region is beautiful. We were located by the river Le Giessen, and it's relaxing to hear the water flowing. Location/Rental: The cottages are very well equipped, with lovely shaded terraces.

Cons

There are a few shrubs missing between each cottage to prevent overlooking between the terraces. Unfortunately, in front of our cottage, there were plants that hindered us from fully enjoying the river.

I can only agree with the review of Yosemite17. Quiet camping in the off-season. Especially the spots by the river near the second sanitation facilities (closed in the off-season) are quiet. Free entry to the neighboring indoor pool. No roll delivery service in the off-season. You can reach Ville with all the necessary shops by bike on the bike path behind the campsite in 5-10 minutes. Market on Wednesdays. Unfortunately, only a few staff members speak English. ACSI card is accepted. Usually no advance booking necessary in the off-season. The surrounding area is quiet, with many hiking opportunities.

The site is located by a small river, which adds to the beautiful atmosphere of the pitches. Beautiful tree population The sanitary area is modern but typically French - simple and plain. Clean impression. The local swimming pool is right next to the site and can be used free of charge. All staff are very friendly. The surroundings offer a lot of nature, pure Alsace.

Small nature-oriented place, very quiet in the off-season. Public swimming pool for shared use. Perfect for a short vacation.

Wi-Fi was not available throughout the site as indicated in the ADAC and ACSI guides, but only in the snack bar. And even there, only with an obscure login procedure that does not work with every browser/device. Working was not possible. Sanitary facilities have individual booths, but not separated by gender, without coat hooks and without toilet seats or paper. Moderately clean. Not even sufficient for the price.
