Flower Camping Le Fondespierre

We stayed here for one night while traveling. The staff's welcome was super friendly, even in English. Unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect. The sanitary facilities are the worst we have experienced so far. Women and men are not separated, the water temperature is fixed and not adjustable (even in the "shower basins" there is no hot water), and the hygienic condition is very questionable. The pitch was okay. However, we felt it wasn't worth 32.50 euros. At night, you'll need to like cicadas, as they are very active here.

Attention! Bookings are canceled at short notice, only via email. In our case, we arrived after 600 km at 6:00 PM and were turned away. A cancellation only reached us at 11:00 PM. Nobody called us. Outrageous. Finding a new place at this hour with children is a challenge.

Faded glory. Old sanitary facilities that are poorly or not cleaned at all. Difficult to maneuver with a caravan and the road is in poor condition. Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: Challenging with a caravan due to steep roads and narrow passages.

Pros

A fairly simple campsite with nice swimming pools and a small slide. There's a restaurant/snack bar offering a few simple/standard dishes that you often find in France. The sanitary facilities are dated but clean and certainly meet the needs. Don't expect too much from this campsite, but it is definitely suitable as a stopover campsite towards Spain. Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: Site 24 was conveniently close to the entrance.

Cons

Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: There was a large tree in the middle of our site, which made it difficult for our 8-meter caravan to fit. Additionally, the site was so sloped that the legs on the back side of the caravan were too short (and that with Bigfoot supports 🤖).

Pros

Nice campsite Friendly staff Lovely pool with just one remark. It's a pity there are no hand railings at the steps into the water. This makes it difficult for those with limited mobility who need support when entering and exiting the pool. I myself had to climb out of the water using hands and feet.
