Camping Le Cormoran (Ravenoville-Plage)

Since the change of ownership, the campsite is no longer the same. The family atmosphere has completely vanished. You can tell that a huge company is now behind it. There is almost no trace of cleanliness or friendliness. When you inquire at the reception, the ladies take an extremely long time to respond. On the positive side, the pitches are very spacious. Some even have their own private bathrooms. Prices have also risen from €18 to €43 for one night (motorhome pitch). Dog owners should be careful as their dogs cannot belong to categories 1 or 2 since these are completely refused on the site! Additionally, only one dog is allowed now. This pitch used to be well-maintained and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. What a pity......

👍 It was nice, everything was well arranged, the stay was as agreed, friendly staff, and good and quick service in handling complaints. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Everything was neat.

👍 Particularly great are the large pitches, all bordered by hedges, mostly with electricity and often with water too. The Atlantic is within walking distance; there are several playgrounds for children of all ages, including the older ones. In addition, there is a restaurant, bar, etc. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Everything is great, with palm trees and hedges, a part shady, very spacious. 👎 The only downside was actually the lack of soap in sanitary building 4, which was needed for handwashing after using the toilet. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Nothing.

👍 Vrij ruime plaatsen. We had a pitch with sanitation, which was very clean. I can recommend this to everyone. Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: Neat and clean upon arrival and after we left. 👎 The camping shop doesn't offer much, which isn't commercially smart. Now you have to drive 20 km to Carantan for groceries. For something to eat, you will also need to go to Carantan, as there is no restaurant open nearby. On the campsite, you can order pizza for the first emergencies, but that's not why you come to France. Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: It's a pity that you have to drive far for all your basic needs, but perhaps we are too spoiled in the Netherlands.

👍 The advertising and promises drew us in, just like the beach. The pitches are good, as are the playgrounds. But aside from that... Site/Accommodation: The space was large and clean. 👎 The toilets are regularly clogged. The outdoor pool is cold, and playing is not allowed in the indoor pool. The promised wifi is barely sufficient for WhatsApp, while the site is in a total dead zone, and the staff as well as the manager are neither helpful nor accommodating. Quite the opposite. And, as so often: if you don't speak French, you're out of luck. Site/Accommodation: The management of the facility, as well as the information on the website regarding internet and pool, is simply inaccurate. Anyone who needs to manage online parameters is stuck and cannot expect any help from the reception. The only option is to leave.

👍 Very spacious pitches, everything is nicely mixed, cabins, campers, tents, caravans. And everything is quiet by 10:30 PM 👍. Very important, the sanitary facilities were clean. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Spacious and tidy site. 👎 Dining options. You can only get pizza or fries for dinner, which could definitely be a bit more varied.

👍 It’s a nice campsite with plenty of activities for kids. The staff is friendly and provides fresh rolls. Fafa, the lady from the craft club, gave my daughter a great time. Pitch/Accommodation: Nice spacious spots. 👎 The wifi is poor; there is no wifi near the caravan or tent. Pitch/Accommodation: N/A.
