Siblu Camping Le Conguel

No comfortable place for motorhome travelers who only want to stay for one or two nights. Spots directly on the street, far from the sanitation building, which is unkempt and dirty. The peak of it all at the high price of 41 Euros: For the cleaning of the chemical toilet, you have to pay extra for water! Never again! I am disappointed with ADAC, which rated this place so well.

We were there 3 times. Well located, but in 2023 there were only 6 spots available instead of the 21 indicated! Only rental accommodations remaining! Not suitable for caravans and larger mobiles. Never again.

We have been visiting Le Conguel since 2008. Unfortunately, one must say that this campsite has lost quality from year to year since being taken over by Siblu in 2018! No heart and no soul anymore. While the pool has been renovated, the swimming area is now noticeably smaller, as there is now a completely pointless ankle-deep area in the main pool that is never used by any person (there is indeed a children's pool next door). The animation area below the bar has now aged significantly, and you can clearly see that! The evening program has become monotonous and lacks variety. The public toilets are often unclean. Almost every year we encountered new staff at the reception, but at least most of them understood their work and engaged with the guests. However, this year we found very young and inexperienced, albeit mostly friendly, employees who could not even take booking inquiries or bookings for the next year and thus could not respond to personal requests. Regarding booking and reservation inquiries, everything now goes only through email to the central offices in France and/or Holland. Very impersonal and lacking transparency! The prices for the coming year are way too high (in our case a price increase of 30% for the same period and the same mobile home!), discounts are no longer available or extremely reduced. More expensive than some 5-star campsites in Brittany that offer significantly more comfort and diverse options. Here, Siblu clearly makes guests pay for the beautiful surroundings in front of the campsite by the sea, but not for the service and facilities within the campsite. Very positively highlighted remains the small shop on the campsite! Great selection, not overpriced, and an extremely friendly owner! Unfortunately, under these overall conditions, no longer recommendable.

Apparently, Siblu no longer finds it necessary to keep regular customers. For the seventh time in a row, we were at Le Conguel, thanks to us, other families even returned. When we tried to book our stay for next year, we were initially confronted with the great incompetence of the staff. No one knew that we had been coming to this campsite for several years, decisions were always handed up the chain. When we received our reservation confirmation, we were quite astonished. For the same period and the same accommodation, Siblu suddenly wanted nearly 30% more! And the discount was also reduced. One staff member told us that we should monitor the promotional prices for mobile homes on the website, and if we ever found a cheaper one than our booking, the difference would be refunded to us. For further questions, she gave us a phone number where we might get assistance. We contacted Siblu directly, both in the Netherlands and in France, and ultimately received this curt response: "The Le Conguel site is quite small, many mobile home owners go on holiday there themselves, the demand is high. Therefore, the high demand for little supply determines the rising price". No comments are necessary. But the greatest impudence is that a friend family received the same price as this year after their "complaint". Siblu has not commented on this fact.

We were at the campsite in June 2017 as a senior couple during the off-season. We liked it so much that we went again during the autumn holidays in 2017 with 3 school-age granddaughters. The campsite offers everything. Swimming pools indoors and outdoors. Outside the campsite, there are short and long paths for walks and hikes. Short and long, very nice routes for cycling. Close to the city for shopping. Nearby harbor for island hopping. The site is quiet in the off-season, very full and a bit louder during the holidays. The pitches are very large. Close to the beach. Sanitary facilities satisfactory.
