Camping Le Clos Bouyssac

Wonderful campsite. The entire team is welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The location of the campsite is stunning, right by the Lot in the midst of nature. The facilities are excellent. We stayed in a safari tent. What luxury, with made beds upon arrival, truly comfortable furniture, and a large luxurious bathroom. The view over the Lot is breathtaking. We enjoyed the restaurant at the campsite. Especially the plat du jour and the aperitif are highly recommended. But even the takeaway meals were flawless. You get the coziness and liveliness of a campsite with the luxury of a hotel.

The team is amazing, welcoming, friendly, helpful, and cheerful. We stayed in the safari tent, which was a luxury. True glamping, with made beds, nicely decorated, and a spacious luxury bathroom. Beautiful view over the Lot.

Pros

Very pleasant, a mix of river and swimming pool. Friendly reception. Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: Good spot with plenty of shade and sun.

Many fishing rods in the water, so you have to be on your guard all the time. Standplaats/Huuraccommodatie: Nothing.

Clear campsite, well-maintained, plenty of shade. Pitch/Rental accommodation: Beautiful spot directly on the Lot, no rear neighbors. Our spot had young trees that allowed in a lot of sun, but in general there is a lot of shade on the pitches. Large pitches. The ground is really rocky, consider using screw pegs. Also, the pitches have a slight slope.

Cons

No hot water in the showers of the middle toilet building. It could be enforced a bit better. Pitch/Rental accommodation: None.

Cons

Pitch/Rental accommodation: We were in the third row of the lower terrace and had a view of the backs of caravans and were surrounded by cars. We had to pay separately for our car at the pitch, as we were with a camper (which we did not move during the stay). Next time we would really love to be by the river. 😄

Pros

What a lovely campsite in a stunning setting. There are great activities, a cozy bar, a large swimming pool, and incredibly friendly owners. The pitches/accommodations are, as mentioned, in need of a renovation. They are in a beautiful location, but that is the only positive aspect.

Cons

The chalets are somewhat of a blemish on this campsite. They are simply worn out. What a shame, because otherwise, I would give this campsite a solid 10! The pitches/accommodations feature worn taps and sinks, peeling laminate, and wallpaper coming off. When you pull out a drawer, it barely goes back in... in other words, simply worn out... they need to be torn down and replaced with tents.
