Camping Langnes in Grong is very close to the babbling Sanddøla river. The Namsen, Norway's favourite river for salmon fishing, is also only 2 km away. If you like fishing, you can store your catch in the freezers at the campsite. The Namskogan Family Park, which is around 40 km away, is a popular destination for a day out with the whole family. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the campsite. It also offers the perfect infrastructure for families: there is a playground for children. Open all year round, the campsite in Lagnes is just 9 km from Grong Ski Centre, the largest ski area in Nord-Trøndelags.

Suitable as a stopover campsite as well as for a longer stay. Located near the E6 by a river, it is a very quiet, well-maintained place. Sanitary facilities are new, very clean, and in very good condition. I can recommend it.

I recommend that the ADAC reviewer visit this site again and update the data. The number of cabins has more than doubled, and an update would benefit the camping guide entry. Here is my review based on the previous reviews on www.camping.info: This site is very beautifully located right where the side arm Sanddöla joins the Namsen, directly at the place Grong, the salmon angler's paradise in Norway. I find the facility different from how the last reviews (under Camping.info) describe it: The site gives a very clean and well-maintained impression. The reception is staffed competently and speaks good English. The sanitary facilities are (according to previous writer) new from 2012 and are in impeccable technical condition and clean. The building with kitchen and washing machines is apparently brand new and looks inviting. There are three tables with 4 chairs each available for backpackers, cyclists, and other tent campers. Two state-of-the-art stoves with ovens, range hoods, and even a dishwasher are available. A washing machine and a dryer complete the offering. For the anglers, there is, of course, a freezer next to the fish cleaning area. In the upper area, a new gravel site (divided) has been established, which is probably not entirely finished but usable. The upper part has 2 power columns with 2x2 CEE sockets each. On the lower part, there is currently only a still unrealized water/sewer connection visible. Next to this new gravel site is the playground, which makes a good impression contrary to a previous writer. All devices are in order, and the playground is very inviting for the children. The condition of the grass areas after rain, described in earlier reviews, is unchanged. We arrived in the rain and found practically a landscape of lakes. See also my pictures (on Camping.info) for this. Therefore, we were happy to move to the gravel site. The cabins make a very good impression, and I do not observe any asylum seekers. The Wi-Fi works well even outside the reception. It is free of charge. All in all, a highly recommended facility in this area, but caution is advised with the grass areas in rainy weather.
