Beautiful campsite, was received nicely, 4 showers for the site are simply too few, we were in the off-season and that was okay,

Campsite well-maintained. Nice location, but swimming in the sea is not allowed. The surroundings are scenically great but otherwise there is nothing nearby.

This campsite is a paradise on a dreamlike island. Especially for vacationers who seek nature, as it lies in the middle of a biotope right by the beach. Speaking of biotope: There are no significant insects, as this area is a paradise for ornithologists. The birds apparently eat everything. The site is beautifully divided into small parcels by willow hedges. And the owner does a great job of "matching" the right vacationers together. For example, placing vacationers with small children near the truly beautiful playgrounds so that people like us (around 60 with a dog) hardly notice any of it. If you go to the 5-minute away paradise beach..... to the right is water sports, trips to the seal bank and other islands, and to the left is the tranquility and incredible vastness. It’s up to your preference. The attached restaurant offers everything from classic fries to carpaccio in incredible quality. The chef makes everything fresh and homemade, including sauces. Even the balsamic decoration is not just balsamic. The owner of the campsite has organized the place perfectly. It is maintained daily, and the modern sanitation facilities are cleaned several times a day. We feel so comfortable there that this year we left the site only once in three weeks to buy coffee. And if someone is not a fan of camping, there are beautiful new chalets. They are tastefully, completely, and generously furnished. Each has a terrace with a small garden. The Dutch hospitality speaks for itself. We feel very welcome there and will always prefer this place to the (sorry: arrogant and dog-hostile) German coast (we live only 60 km from the North Sea coast). Pure vacation when you seek relaxation.

We reserved at the campsite for 5 nights and found it so good that we extended to 9 nights. The site is clean, well-maintained, well-organized, and extremely beautifully located. Positive: - Spacious pitches with grass; separate area for large motorhomes - Container as a wash house, but relatively new and well-kept - Quiet, located directly by the sea. - Usable restaurant right at the site - Not excessively expensive in the pre-season Negative: - Cost structure unclear: Hot water is only available with an ID card - showers were included, but the ID card still needs to be loaded - please inquire and have it explained. - Occasionally, fighter jets fly over the site (this personally did not bother us, but it did others) - The sound of lawn mowing is relatively loud (but mowing does not take long - manageable) - Felt more dogs than people on the site (this point was responsible for the deduction of the fifth star)
