Camping La Tour du Stock

First of all, I must say that I have been to many campsites and I don't need luxury. But what I experienced at this site surpasses everything I have seen in the last 10 years. The sanitary facilities were abysmal. Not only were they old, but during the days we were there, they were not cleaned even once. There were not many French holidaymakers present, but those who were celebrated loudly and were already drunk by 11 a.m. Typically French, unfriendly towards Germans. Even the baker in the village was unfriendly towards Germans. Unfortunately, the restaurant burned down in January, so there is no possibility of getting food on site. It's a shame, as the area could really offer a lot if it was maintained. The permanent camping spots resembled more of a garbage dump. We were glad that we only booked 3 nights.

We visited the campsite during the Pentecost holidays. The individual plots are large, really nice, and clean. But that's it. The sanitary area is simply furnished. It is kept clean, but you should bring your own toilet paper and toilet seat. It is very loud on the weekends, as there is no supervision and anyone can party here. A big disappointment. If you are looking for some peace and quiet, this is the wrong place. However, it is very interesting for anglers.
