A great spot where dogs are also tolerated. Very beautiful beach landscape! Unfortunately, the sanitary area leaves a lot to be desired regarding maintenance! If this could be improved, it would be almost a dream place!

The place has the essentials, clean sanitation, shopping opportunities very close by. The sandy beach is natural, with driftwood and plenty of shells in the gently sloping water - exactly what we were looking for. ❤️ We were very surprised when we saw a flock of flamingos flying over us. Very impressive! They live at the nearby Cap d'Agde, not just in the Camargue, we then read. Great! 🤩🤩🤩

Super nice location right by the Mediterranean in a pine forest. The campsite doesn't have a pool because it is very close to nature and the beach is in immediate proximity.

La Tamarissiere II. 14 days (2015) are too short to experience everything, I thought, and drove to the campsite again this year, 2016, during the high season. Caravan, car, 2 adults, 1 teenager. Again chose a space without any stress. Super base camp with sufficient sanitary facilities and peace and space for vacation in a great area. Perhaps some French people are a bit reserved towards Germans. If one is not arrogant, not shy but friendly and approaches people, everything runs like clockwork. Anyone who doesn't have fun here has only themselves to blame. All day, I bought fresh baguettes in 5 minutes at 0.80 E each, in the mornings rode my bike or took a boat taxi across the river to Grau d'Agde or to the market in Agde to get fresh fish, there are also mussels and all kinds of seafood, cheese, sausage, vegetables, etc., at noon in 8 minutes by car to Agde to the supermarket for a bicycle tube, water, beer, fried corn, and yes, because it looked so good, entrecôte and lamb chops. There’s also horse meat available. But it’s also possible to go vegetarian. In the afternoon, hang out at the beach, in the evening cook or go out to eat, for example the wood-fired pizzeria in a small alley not 100 meters from the campsite or 1 km to the neighboring campsite l'ôescale at the entrance area (sometimes very delicious food, reserve in the morning to eat in the evening) or if money is loose, to Agde or to the tourist city Cap d'Agde, at night again at the beach with silvery sparkling black water under the moon and star light. The next day cycle (without elevation) along the river 3 km to Agde or the old road to Vias, beautiful routes or those who ride further 20 km to Sète or to Bassin de Tau or 3 km to Canal du Midi. Or on foot. The area and nature are very varied. At the campsite, children and non-swimmers play in the shallow sea water, grandpas and grandmas play boules, fat motorhomes but also simple camper tents, young people and old hippies smoking weed in the dunes, couples in love and parents on the edge of a nervous breakdown, everything is represented. Enough of the subtle advertising: there’s always something to complain about. For gamers, the paid internet is too slow. It gets dusty when it hasn’t rained for a long time. Anyone who can't say at least Bonjour and Merci might be ignored.
