Nothing to attract us to the campsite set up by the lagoon

Arrival that leaves much to be desired. Supposedly no space for a tent on Thursday, June 22, but space available the next day. We discuss and agree to spend one night in a bungalow before pitching our tent, but they only do bungalows for two nights... Being on site and not having much camping around, we agree to the 2 nights in a bungalow and then 3 in tents. We ask them if they are often full during this period because it’s the first time we have seen this, they vaguely reply that yes. In the evening while walking around the campsite, it is actually almost empty!! They just don’t want to open everything! And the icing on the cake is that then to pitch the tent, no choice of location and no tree!!! With temperatures at 37°C in full sun, it is unacceptable not to have a bit of shade! After 2 nights we want to leave (one day early) because we can’t take it anymore and they never wanted to refund us!! Luckily there was the lagoon to help us pass our days!

We have been visiting this campsite for years, both on the way there and on the return for an overnight stay. What fascinates us about this site is that each pitch has its own sanitation building. This means there are no long walks to the sanitation block. This year we stayed there for three nights and explored the area. There is a lot to see, both by the sea and in the city itself.
